If the water is actually leaking from the dispenser hose, this will be the water valve that is not shutting all the way. you may need to replace the valve. it could have a faulty shut off seal.

Water leaks out of the dispenser

Hi

Under some circumstances the water dispenser can leak water into the spill trap when not in use. This problem could be caused by one of several scenarios involving the installation of the refrigerator doors. Small leaks are often triggered when a new water filter is installed. The exact location of some parts will vary depending on your model of refrigerator.

Keep a glass under the dispenser for up to three seconds after releasing the lever. The water doesn't cut off immediately, and there may be a few remaining drops in the system. This is normal and doesn't need any further attention.Run the water dispenser into a large container for three minutes. Empty the contents of the container down the sink. A newly installed water filter may spurt or leak water from the dispenser until the water is run for a few minutes. Some dispensers may cut off after a few minutes automatically.

Run the dispenser intermittently -- five seconds on, five seconds off -- for two minutes. This measure clears air trapped in the supply line, filter and dispenser system. Some dispensers will spurt or leak water until all air is purged from the system. You should follow this step each time the water is disconnected or the filter changed.Ensure all components of the water supply have been properly connected. All connections should be tightly screwed in place and pipes straight so water doesn't leak out of the pipes or dispenser nozzle. Contact a technician if you didn't install the refrigerator yourself.

Leaking water

IF YOU CHANGED THE FILTER AND GOT WATER OUT THE DISPENSOR AND HAD A RUSH OF AIR COME OUT OF THE LINE. YOU MAY HAVE GOT WATER UNDER THE DRIP TRAY. WATER WILL THEN COME AROUND AND APPEAR THAT THE DISPENSOR IS LEAKING. OR YOU MAY HAVE NOT PURGED ALL OF THE AIR. LET ME KNOW.

Water intermittently leaks from dispenser for past few months.

Try unplugging the water control valve on the rear of refrigerator on the side that turns on the dispenser. If while unplugged you continue to get dripping water it would point to the dual water control valve being defective. Tell me what you find, Sea Breeze

Something leaking from dispenser frame

You can remove the frame around the dispenser by pulling it gently and then you access to the screws that hold the dispenser in place. Could be a spillage behind the frame. Good Luck.

Jenn Air Refrigerator

Is this a side by side with water through the door? If so, The water cooling tank for the dispenser is behind crispers. The next time you see the water, remove the crispers and see if the tank is wet anywhere. While you have them out, run some water through the dispenser and see if you see water leaking from the tank. I am not sure why you would see the water so infrequently inless you rarely use water through the door. If the tank is not leaking, you may have air coming through the hole around the water lines coming to the tank and condensing. Seal around them with some silicone caulk. The clunking is probably caused by the liner expanding and contracting as it warms and cools, especially during the defrost cycle. This is common and not much can be done except make sure unit is sitting firmly on the floor at all four corners. Post back and let me know what you find out about the water.
