YESTERDAY I CALLED LINKSYS SUPPORT TO HAVE THEM HELP ME GET MY NOTEBOOK, WHICH I RECENTLY PURCHASED WIRELESS. CASEY WALKED ME THROUGH ALOT OF CHANGES ON MY MAIN DESKTOP AND MY LAPTOP. I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH CASEY FOR OVER 3 HOURS. EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED, I CAN'T EVEN GET MY YAHOO PAGE UP AND RUNNING. HER SUPERVISOR WAS SUPPOSE TO CALL ME BACK BECAUSE CASEY COULDN'T GET MY COMPUTER AND LAPTOP BACK THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE SHE HAD ME CHANGING ALL KINDS OF THINGS. SHE FINEALLY GAVE UP AND TOLD ME MY LINKSYS WRT54G ROUTER WAS BAD. HOW WAS EVERYTHING WORKING FINE BEFORE I CALLED FOR TECH. SUPPORT AND WAS ALL SCREWED UP AFTER SHE WAS FINISHED. I NOW HAVE TO CONNECT DIRECTLY TO MY MODEM TO GET ON LINE. CAN U PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM?

the great thing about the linksys brand is that they are owned by cisco and they will walk you thru the set up no matter when and where you bought that thing and they will spend all the time it takes to make you happy with the product. although the person you speak to will be in "new deli" india so they may need to repeat them selves many times.
have you tried access the router interface page with the computer hook directly to the router NOT wirelessly.???
I think I remember the linksys access page is at 10.10.10.100 in your internet explorer tool bar.
Normally this means that you have to update the firmware of the router. If you just recently purchased it you can call 8003267114 so that linksys can walk you through the upgrade. If your not under warranty message me and ill give you a walkthrough.
If it is a Linksys router:
Go to 192.168.1.1 in your browser address box.
you will be asked to type in a password in the login box that appears. The linksys router's default password is admin, leave the user name box blank

hi i would suggest to access your routers setuppage and set the channel to channel 11.
make sure also if your wireless network is secured, type the correct key those things are case sensitive.
to access the routers setuppage go to a computers that is connected to your linksys router (wired) then launch IE on the address bar type 192.168.1.1(this is the routers ip) then it will ask you for username and password for the username dont type any thing for the password type admin.
when your on the setuppage click on wireless tab. while on the wireless page set the channel to 11.
after that click apply or save settings on the page.
then after that try to connect to your wireless network on your laptop.

If you're having installing the wireless card, try first to run the setup CD and follow the wizard in installing the wireless card and if it didn;t finish the installation , restart the computer and make sure the wireless card is connected to the computer and let the computer detect it and then a Found new Hardware wizard will come up just follow it , but if still fail better call Linksys tech support and let one of their tech walk you through with the process also to check if the wireless adapter is bad, they are open 24/7 this is the number 800-3267114....
