Try joining "Ovi" online. It synchronises with your phone and saves all your contacts for you.

The n95 saves the contact in a file format that allows the device to "back up" the contacts. The device that you are switching to must have this same feature otherwise it wont work that way. you will be better off copying the numbers to your sim card and simply placing that sim card in your new device. or you can try to transfer them through bluetooth

My N95 8Gigabytes had its phone memory full, how do i transfer data from phone memory to memory card

Hi there,

Press the Menu Key on your phone, then find Tools. You should find the File Manager. Now through File Manager you can view the files on the Phone Memory and the files on the External Memory.

From there, you can mark the files you want to transfer to the memory card, then press Options and Move. Then just select where you want to move it to.

Hope I have been of assistance to you,

Cheers :)

Cannot put a memory on my n95 8gb china phone???

N95 8GB has only mass storage memory. It does not have a slot for micro SD memory cards. Best method of data transfer is to use the USB to Mini-USB cable (should have come packaged with handset) and choose on the handset Mass Storage mode on connection for easiest and quickest data transfer.

N95 8GB, keeps saying the phone memory is full, I have deleted all text messages, It will not let me delete phone contacts, can not receive texts or missed calls info, any ideas? I have turned it off and...

The memory it's referring to is the Internal Phone memory and not the SD Card which is the 7.4GB you refer to. The internal phone memory is only about 120MB. Go Menu>Tools>File mgr.> you'll see two tabs at the top, Phone and Card. Leave in on the phone tab and go Options>Memory Details. This will show you where the space has gone. As a rule of thumb I always try to install apps/games/music/video/pictures etc to the memory card or mass memory is it calls it. The only exception to this I make is installing themes, as it can throw a bit of a wobbly when you connect to pc in data transfer mode and the phone cuts itself off from the memory card.

You can do this using the desktop mananger - by synchronising your new phone to your SD card - assuming you have a card reader.

If not does your SD card fit your new phone?

on windows xp: 1 in start menue right click my computer, 2 click hardware tab, 3 go to device manager, 4 to find the correct device you will need to unplug the device and watch what device is removed in device manager, 5 plug the cable back to your phone, 6 open the device, 7 click update driver and xp will do the rest. this will allow you to access the memory card in the phone.
