Come back on XP or Vista but XP works better. There is no driver for W7 yet.Motherboards manufacturers will provide drivers for W7 when Microsoft will announce that the system(W7) is ready to be sell....Windows 7 is still beta! If Microsoft still provide "UP DATE" for XP why you want to install other OS?

I have the same problem

Dear! If monitor showes power but not showes display its means that monitor requires heat and it very better if you can give sun-rays. I assure your monitor will work if you do that for 4 hours. Check your monitor sepreatly with another system or computer if it works that means your VGA card not supported so you should change your VGA card but first check your monitor.
Thank You

System won'n boot if i installed two RAMs

Hello,

Is the old ram working if installed alone? If yes then maybe got error or grounded if both ram inserted. Try to blow air the ram slot in the board to eliminate dirt and then try to interchange the position of the ram and then try it again.

Hope this will work.

Install SATA HDD for asus p5rd1-vm

The motherboard will support this drive.

I will assume you simple need it as additional storage set up as an additional drive?

If you do not see it in My Computer after connecting power and SATA cables, you will need Activate the Drive and Format it

To do this go to Control Panel - Adminstrative Tools - Computer management - Storage - Disk Manangement

You will see the harddrive here, right-cick it, Activate as a simple Partition and then format it.

You will now see it in My Computer and will be able to store on it.

Upgrade P5RD1-VM motherboard to the gaming PC

Your pc is not for gaming right now because you are using Intel Pentuim 4 Mother board and CPU. Amd Athlon is best for gaming. I have a AMD Athlon 4200+ X2 with 4gb Ram and Nvidia 6800 256mb OC. to upgrade your computer to a gaming pc. you will need to switch your motherboard and cpu for best performance on games. in order to do that, you might need a different case for your new motherboard. because the one you have might not be right for the AMD Athlon motherboard unless you have a custom made computer. other than that everything is set for you. if you have less than 1gb ram you might want to add more. because the games they are coming with right now is 1gb minimum or required.

i hope that answers your question.
Thank You
