I have a slim ps2 and i HAVE left the game on over night on training mode for points because some say thats the problem. But anyway when i turn it on the loading screen comes up in the beggining and says that the data has been corrupted! If anyone knows the solution or a suggestion to fix this i would greatly appreciate it.
There is no way to fix a corrupted disk, but to prevent this from happening in the future when you leave a system on overnight, you should keep it from overheating by pointing a fan at it or placing it on a hard surface that is hollow on the inside

ok..... prob should so that.. lol, sorry about ur data, it use to **** when mines get corrupted, try not to move the mem card around that much... even doe it is flash data, ps2 mem cards seems to , corrupt a lot when thay are moved around a bit and pushed in and out of the console...
i dunno what the problem might be, but i can imagine the disc having many scratches, the lens of consoles are pretty delicate and being honest they cant read scratced discs at all. The best choice u have is to go at the nearest gamestop and pick off those games off the bargain bin.
You cannot connect a usb hardrive or anything for that matter unless you "soft mod" the ps2 you need a pro action repaly and the usb stick that comes with it and you need to put certain installtion files on the stick with your computer.
