My usb cable for my freecom external hardrive has got a shorts in it - is there any way i can get a new usb cable - i just need the cable for it


oh yes offcourse you can get one. Just visit a nearest local computer shop and ask for one. take the external hdd along to check which one is compatible. i am sure sata to usb will help.

The USB port is designed to support only memory sticks of up to 128GB, not external hard disks of 2TB. It says that clearly in the manual, page 13.

go to bios settings in the desktop motherboard, you can see an option that says SATA NATIVITY support... this option must be disabled inorder to recognize the new HDD from your desktop...

for some reason it happens that the power comes out from usb port is not enough to trigger the External Hdd on
if you have a long usb extension or using the front usb ports also it could happens (avoide them) .

I plug in just about anything USB and the problems start


if u using any external usb hub than u must ignore the hub and plug ur usb device directly on usb . if u arent using external usb hub than u must install compatible chipset driver for ur system or re install usb drivers too.enjoy and good luck
