Hello shellytake5 - Often when there is standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher, it is because more than likely the control or drain pump assembly is faulty and possibly need replacing. However, if the unit is making a grinding noise then it is recommended for the drain motor to be diagnosed. If this problem persists, you can locate a certified technician directly through the manufacturer website or in your local directory to determine what may be causing the issue at hand.

Smeg dishwasher will only wash top drawer

Check the options on the door of dishwasher. Some dishwashers allow you to select wash top rack or bottom or both. Check your settings.

Water is not coming into my frigid wire dishwasher?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that water is not coming into your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# PLD2855RFC. There are a couple of things that I would check.

First, check to make sure the water supply is fully turned on.

Secondly, check to make sure the overfill protector moves up and down. The overfill protector keeps your dishwasher from overfilling and is located in the left front corner of the tub. The overfill protector should move up and down freely about one inch. If it does not move, lift and clean underneath. Clean this occasionally with household cleaner containing vinegar or bleach to dissolve any buildup.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Frigidaire dishwasher is not spraying water from bottom

From what you have described, sounds like the sprayer arms are possibly loose or being held into place and can't rotate, by dishware.

Water isn't flowing in through the spinners in the dishwasher.

Look at the end of the wash and no water in the bottom, it is OK. The water is pumped out through the pump. Hence you would have found the water mid way. Pump will start after the wash cycle is fully finished it's function or as per the float level!
