Question about Computers & Internet

When I insert the CD for to load the program for my Kodak camera the install shield runs to 99%. When it reaches 100% I get a warning message "This version of Windows is not supported. Please refer to the user documentation for a list of supported versions." I had this software in my Windows 98 but am now running Windows XP (one of the versions listed in the "user documentation.") Help!

The problem I needed help with is/was being unable to load the program for my Kodak camera.

The "expert" suggests "try downloading the software from Kodak ..."

That doesn't help or solve the problem.

You might have win xp professional and only the home version is supported. try downloading the software from the kodak web site, or try installing the software in another win xp pc and see what happens

Keep getting error message 100-2105 when I try to scan

I had the same problem. The icon disappeared. Then the 100-2105 error message came up.

The solution on the kodak web site worked for me.

From
your computer desktop, select Start > Run.
Type %windir%, then click OK.
Double-click the twain_32 folder.
Right-click the kodak folder, then select Delete.
Insert the KODAK All-in-One Printer Software CD into the CD drive, then go to D: > printer > scanner.
NOTE: The CD is indicated by D: above. The CD drive may be a different letter on your computer.
Double-click aioscannr.msi, then follow the instructions to remove it.
Go to D: > printer > scanner, then double-click aioscannr.msi, and follow the instructions to install the file.
Start Home Center Software.
Select Scan Documents and Pictures.
Scan a document.
If the error continues using a Wi-Fi connection, make sure you select the correct printer in Home Center Software.
If the error continues using a USB connection, see the following section to reinstall the printer.

Hi, everytime i go to run my CD i get a error message saying, demo shield runtime error. what do i do.

Have you installed a Demo version of Install Shield? Or Demo Shield?
It appears that is what is on your PC and is not running correctly.
Go through Start Button, Settings, Control panel, Add /Remove Programs, and find Install Shield Or Demo Shield and UN-install it.
That should get rid of the error.

But what if you don't have either of these programs on the PC?
Is this happening on all CDs or just one? If just one, then the installer for the program is bad.
If you know what you're doing, you could try a manual install. If not.. replace the disk.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

The Kodak AiO Home Center won't fully load. It

To perform a clean installation of the KODAK All-in-One Printer Home Center Software:

  1. If a USB 2.0 cable is connected to your printer, disconnect it.
IMPORTANT: Do not reconnect the USB 2.0 cable until instructed to do so during installation of the software.

  2. Install the KODAK All-in-One Printer Software, either from CD, if you have the latest version of software, or by downloading from the Kodak Web site, www.kodak.com/go/aiodownloads, free of charge.

My Kodak Picture CD will not auto load

If your computer is operating with WINDOWS 95, WINDOWS 98, or WINDOWS NT 4.0 Systems, this CD contains software that automatically launches when you insert the CD. Getting Started:
Insert your Picture CD disc and wait for the software to load (it could take as long as 5 minutes, depending on your machine configuration, CD drive speed, and the number of images on the Picture CD).
Note: This loading process installs some Picture CD program files onto your hard drive. The KODAK Picture CD installer walks you through the steps. The final step may be to restart your computer. If so, be sure to restart to complete the installation.
After your computer has rebooted:
  1. Eject the Picture CD and re-insert it into the CD drive.
    The program should launch automatically.
  2. Click the magazine cover to turn to the Contents Page.
  3. Follow the links to read and do more with your digital photos.
If nothing happens after waiting for the Auto Play, you may need to manually start the Auto Play program. (Auto Play is a program that starts up the CD installation process the first time you use the CD.)
To manually start Auto Play:
  1. Right-click the My Computer icon.
  2. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. Click the Device Manager tab.
  4. Click the CD-ROM drive icon; click the "+" to view the CD-ROM drive information.
  5. Double-click the CD-ROM driver icon.
  6. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  7. Click Settings.
  8. Check Auto insert notification and click OK.
Note: This enables all CDs to automatically run any Auto Play software.

INSTALLING PICTUREPROJECT

Most all software can be installed from the cd and by running the setup program in the correct folder on the cd. If the cd/dvd is set to autoplay, then the setup program will load after inserting the cd in the cd/dvd drive.
You may not necessarially have to have the camera plugged in to install the program/s.

Kodak easyshare DX 4530

I have upgraded my Easy share software to version 7.1 ever since I cannot open the program. It comes up with The message of "One or more system DLL's could not be loaded :ES App.dll " then appears the message of "Easyshare unable to run. Please run Setup and choose repair to fix the application.[0,5006,0] " . When I run the repair program, it blocks part way through and the error message of 1334x97x3839719742x appears. Short of getting rid of Kodak off my computer which I dont want to do as I have important pics in the album, and I have a Kodak digital camera. What can I do to fix.
