Message in Powerpoint: Part of the file is missing. How to fix it?

your powerpoint file seems to be severely corrupted. You may try to open this file in PowerPoint Fix Toolbox http://www.powerpoint.fixtoolbox.com/

If if it useless follow the steps 1) Open a new presentation and use Insert --> Slides --> From existing presentation to pull in the slides from the corrupted file. This works about 50% of the time.
2) Try using the Clone Me add-in from Microsoft. It may work, it may not.

I want to open powerpoint presentation.

then, go to format -> slide design, choose to show all documents, and choose the corrupt powerpoint file. now, go to insert -> slides from file, and select the corrupt powerpoint file. make sure you are set to insert all slides, and then import. if that works, great! i suspect, however, that you might crash at that point. if so, try repeating the process, inserting specific slides one by one until you find the problem one. after that, save the file, making sure that fast saves are off (in preferences / save).
if you are unable to open your powerpoint files then try pptx viewer tool. this utility recovers your corrupt and damaged powerpoint presentations (.ppt, .pot, .pps, pptx and ppsx formats) from ms powerpoint files. http://www.pptx.viewertool.com/

How to make power point presentation

The PowerPoint software program allows you to create slide presentations that can be viewed on any computer.

While some graphic artists specialize in developing compelling presentations, anyone can develop a PowerPoint slide presentation that is attractive and readable.

Follow these steps to develop your own slide show.

Open your PowerPoint program. When the dialog box opens, click on the "Blank Presentation" option.

Choose an "AutoLayout" format.

Begin with the title slide layout, which is the first one on the left. Click "OK," and you will have a title slide to work with.

Add text to your slide by clicking in the title text box and typing a title.

Do the same thing in the subtitle box.

Create another slide by clicking the "New Slide" button on the Common Tasks toolbar.

When the AutoLayout dialog box appears, choose a layout for this slide.

Keep adding new slides until your presentation is complete.

Move from slide to slide by clicking the button on the lower-right corner of the PowerPoint window.

Clicking the button with the upward-pointing arrows will take you to the previous slide, and clicking the button with the downward-pointing arrows will take you to the next slide.

Save your presentation. Click the "File" menu and then click "Save As."

A dialog box will appear, and you'll be able to type in a name for your presentation.

The presentation will be saved to your hard drive.

as for the kreb cycle disgram im not sure
hope this helps

How to make power presentatio?

  • If Office PowerPoint 2007 is already running, save and close any open presentations, and then exit and restart PowerPoint 2007.

Find links to information about saving presentations in the See Also section.

  • If Office PowerPoint 2007 isn't already running, start it now.
In the Slide pane, you can work directly on individual slides. za001093949.gif Dotted borders identify placeholders, where you can type text or insert pictures, charts, and other objects. za001093950.gif The Slides tab shows a thumbnail version of each full size slide shown in the Slide pane. After you add other slides, you can click a thumbnail on the Slides tab to make the slide appear in the Slide pane. Or you can drag thumbnails to rearrange the slides in your presentation. You can also add or delete slides on the Slides tab. za001093951.gif In the Notes pane, you can type notes about the current slide. You can hand out your notes to your audience or refer to your notes in Presenter view when you give your presentation. Note By default, Office PowerPoint 2007 applies the Blank Presentation template, which appears in the preceding illustration, to new presentations. Blank Presentation is the simplest and most generic of the templates in Office PowerPoint 2007. Blank Presentation is a good template to use when you first start working with PowerPoint because it is straightforward and can be adapted to many presentation types. To create a new presentation that is based on the Blank Presentation template, click the Microsoft Office Button za010077102.gif, click New, click Blank and recent under Templates, and then double-click Blank Presentation under Blank and recent.
After you open the Blank Presentation template, only a small portion of the Notes pane is visible. To see a larger portion of the Notes pane so that you have more room to type in it, do the following:
  1. Point to the top border of the Notes pane.
  2. When the pointer becomes a za010205206.gif, drag the border up to make a little more room for your speaker notes, as shown in the following illustration.

Name and save your presentation As with any software program, it is a good idea to name and save your presentation right away and then to save your changes frequently while you work:
  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button za010077102.gif, point to Save As, and then do one of the following:
    • For a presentation that can be opened only in Office PowerPoint 2007, click PowerPoint Presentation.
    • For a presentation that can be opened in either Office PowerPoint 2007 or earlier versions of PowerPoint, click PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation.

If you choose this option, you cannot use any of the features that are new in Office PowerPoint 2007.

  1. In the Save As dialog box, in the Save in list, select the folder or other location where you want to save your presentation.
  2. In the File name box, type a name for your presentation, or do nothing to accept the default file name, and then click Save.

Add, rearrange, and delete slides The single slide that is provided automatically in your presentation has two placeholders, one formatted for a title and the other formatted for a subtitle. The arrangement of placeholders on a slide is called a layout. Office PowerPoint 2007 also provides other types of placeholders, such as those for pictures and SmartArt graphics.
When you add a slide to your presentation, you can do the following to choose a layout for the new slide at the same time:
  1. On the Slides tab, click just below the single slide that already appears there.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click the arrow next to New Slide.

za001093948.gif The name identifies the content that each layout is designed for. za001093949.gif Placeholders that display colored icons can contain text, but you can also click the icons to automatically insert objects, including SmartArt graphics and clip art.
  1. Click the layout that you want for your new slide.

The new slide now appears both on the Slides tab, where it is highlighted as the current slide, and in the Slide pane. Repeat this procedure for each new slide that you want to add.

Tip If you want your new slide to have the same layout that the preceding slide has, you can just click New Slide instead of clicking the arrow next to it.

Building a shed is a good idea and supports the validity of the excel sheet, especially if you are listing materials needed, material costs etc.The hyperlinks could be used to move back to key topics such as safety issues. The voice over would be good as an intoduction and as a "recap" at a key stage.

I'd choose a topic you are comfortable with, know quite a bit about and are able to lead people through the subject with confidence. Practice the voice over, a shaky or uncertain voice lowers morale for the presentation. Keep the voice over to a very minimal prescence and that way you will be using it to good effect.

Don't use music as a background noise, it tends to confuse messages. Pick a background that is easy on the eye and avoid the "fancy" templates that are included, a simple muted colour works well, primaries and garish colours really irritate the audience. Avoid Black or White for the same reasons. Blues or Greens are relaxing and creams and other natural colours work well in my experience. (based on doing at least 2 powerpoints a week for 10 years)

The font you use should be leigible, a sans serif like Arial or Helvetica or Gill sans is good. Use effects like drop shadow on type with care and do not overuse.

Do not cram too many bullet points on a slide.

Space out the dynamic content throughout the presentation (ie: let voice, excel sheet and images break up periods of text slides and where possible combine text and image. This helps maintain interest.

Do not be afraid to stop and start the presentation if you want to refocus attention, emphasise a point or merely give your audience an "eye break". Perhaps putting in a blank slide of a different colour at this point is a good idea, or even a slide with the word "Recap" in large letters on it...or similar.

Transitions and effects.. use wisely and in moderation. NEVER use more than 2 effects in a presentation, avoid the spin and other OTT effects, a simple fly in or fade in is much more effective and keep away from any sound effects, it makes the whole thing look clumsy and unprofessional.

You MIGHT want to (if allowed) insert a short video file into the presenatation, always an eye catcher, as long as it is short.

Pictures: Low resolution images that you need to size up will pixellate badly making the tone of the presentation look "chavvy". On a similar note, check spelling and grammar.. I recently gave a presentation to the vice principal without checking it..

Anyway, hope some of that helps, best of luck

I made a powerpoint presentation with PP2003, first added 6 slides, then added another 20. When I add music to the presentation, the music stops at the 6th slide. HELP!

To make a sound continue through multiple or all slides, follow these steps:
  • Go to the slide where you want to begin your audio track (defaulted as the first slide), and select Insert -> Movies and Sounds -> Sound from File to insert the sound.
  • After you click OK, you can see a message pop up asking how you want the sound to start in slide shows. Click Automatically.
  • Select Slide Show ->Custom Animation to enter the Custom Animation pane. Your soundtrack is listed below in the pane.
  • In the drop-down list of the sound, choose Effect Options. Then the Play Sound interface appears. In the Effect tab, click the radio button beside Stop Playing After XXX slides (which indicates how many slides you want this song to play across) to enter the number of slides you intend to add. For example, you can enter a number from 1 to 999 for this field. Then the sound will play throughout the specified slides.

  • custom-sound-2002.gif

    play-sound-2003.gif
  • Next, check the settings in the Timing tab. To play automatically, you can set to Start After Previous with a 0-second delay. Click OK to exit the dialog box.
  • Then go to Sound Settings tab, adjust the sound volume as you like. You can also tick to hide sound icon during slideshow if you don't want it appear.
Now you can play the soundtrack from the very beginning to the end of your slideshow.

Which is the software that converts presentations into a self running slide show

Hi,

there are many different slide show converters,
One of them with a free 30 day trial can be found here:
http://download.cnet.com/PowerPoint-Slide-Show-Converter/3000-2075_4-10385108.html

You need to have PowerPoint installed on your system when using the converter.

Changes from slide to slide

it's likely that the rest of each slide is not exaclty equal (e.g. the amount of text) which could push the picture a little bit in one direction or another or make powerpoint automatically resize the picture or text objects to fit the slide. I'd have to really see the slide presentation to be 100% sure but orientation on each slide is likely the cause.
