Question about HP Pavilion dv6000t Notebook
OK, My wireless internet switch on my dv6000 is always orange, does not mater if the switch is on or off.. When it's working corectly the light should be blue.
I reformated the laptop and reinstalled the drivers and the light turned blue but "in the off position" and it worked untill I rebooted, then nothing.
It's as if the computer does not recognize that I have a wireless integrated card. All drivers are installed correctly with latest version and it did work for a second after format and driver install "in the off position for the switch".
Where would you think the problem lies? Wireless card or mobo?
Any pointers are apprecited. Let me know if I missed something important.
Hard to say when I dont know the exact model.
If it is an Atlantis(DV6000-6499) it is most likely the mainboard, and it might be coverd by an extended warranty.
If it is an Ares(DV6500-6999) you should try updatigng th BIOS first. If that doesnt help i would go for another WLAN card. It might also be a defective mainboard, but that doesnt happen as often on Ares models as Atlantis.
