Question about Computers & Internet
I have researched online at the compaq website. I know each laptop/computer has maximum capacity for ram. The problem is that different sellers of the chip list different maximums for this laptop. I need to know which is the right chip and what the maximum capacity for ram is for my computer. From the ''my computer'' section I was able to print the hardware information. Under memory it says capacity 256MB which I take to understand is the memory the laptop has. So how do I figure out which is maximum for my laptop and which chip if any i can buy for it?
You can go to the manufacturer website and check on the product model specifications to show you the correct limits. For example, if you have a hp laptop, go to www.hp.com and enter your product model in the search. then look for product specification page and you should be able to verify the memory limits
