Try re-seating all of the cards and memory in your PC. Unseated cards are usually the #1 cause of PCs not booting.

My compaq presario sr1103wm doesn't boot up it

First of all.. try connecting all your peripheals to your PC.(monitor, mouse, keyboard, mic, speakers, etc)

Then u should open your pc and remove BIOS battery and leave it out for few minutes and put it back in...

if that doesnt work u should remove all your RAMS (memory chips next to processor) carefully and start your PC without them, u should hear some beeps, that okay, just a warning, after that put them back in and start again.

if that doesnt work try changing your hard drive with another one, or just take yours and test it somewhere else.

the last u should check your power supply, i see it starts up and then shuts down.. if your power supply is dead u couldnt even start PC, maybe there is a problem with your power outlet, try changing cables and outlets, if still doesnt work test your power supply on other PC.

if none of this works then u probably have issues with motherboard or processor.. then you should take it to service
:D

Monitor will not boot up is reading no input signal

So either the computer isn't generating a video signal, the cable isn't carrying the signal to the monitor, or else the monitor isn't capable of receiving a video signal. To test this, first try a video cable that you know is good, in case your cable is bad, If it works with the other cable, the problem was your original video cable. If it still doesn't work, put your original cable back, and hook another computer up to the monitor. If the monitor makes the same message, the problem is with the monitor. If the other computer works when connected to this monitor, your problem was that the original computer isn't booting (which could be due to several reasons I will list below), or the video adapter is broken.Possible reasons for the computer not booting: bad power supply, bad power button, bad hard drive, bad memory, bad motherboard component. If you determine that it isn't booting, unplug everything except the keyboard mouse monitor and power cord, to see if that makes a difference. If it boots after that, something you unplugged was causing the problem, plug them each back in one by one, rebooting in between, and when it stops booting properly, the last thing you plugged in is causing the problem.

My Dell Dimension 4550 starts up and after about 30 seconds shuts off. It does not matter if I boot in safe mode or normal and I have disconnected everything but the monitor, keyboard and mouse.

If the computer shuts off completely like someone pulled the plug from the electrical outlet, it is probably your power supply. I would first check all the main cable connection from the power supply to motherboard. If the problem persists, swap out the power supply. Thanks.

I have a two year old hp that does not work. When I turn it on the tower lights up but nothing else. Mouse and keyboard don't work either. The monitor does not receive the VGA signal. I have tried the...

If you have access to a voltmeter I would check the power supply first. Take your cover off, and lay the computer down on its side, open side up. You should see a cable that provides power to your hard drive with an extra one that is free. The color of the wires are red, black, and yellow. Put the meter on DC volts and place the black lead in the black connector and put the red lead in the red connector. You should read +5 volts. Now move the red lead to the yellow connector, you should read +12 Volts. If either one of them is not correct, your power supply is bad. Replace it with a like type or one with a higher power rating to handle upgrades in the future. If the power supply is okay, then with the computer still on its side, look and see if there is a LED next to the CMOS battery. (A flat looking battery a little smaller than a quarter). If this is lit then you have power through the motherboard. Turn the computer back off and replace the CMOS battery. You may also try and reset the CMOS settings. There should be a jumper next to the CMOS battery. With the power still off, pull the jumper and place it across the other open post and leave it like that for about 15 seconds. Now put the jumper back in its original position, and put the new battery in. Turn the computer back on and see if anything is different. If same symptoms, then your best bet is to take it to a certified repairt person. Hope this helps.

Computer Does not Boot correctly, Monitor is Black.

Hmm it seems to be problem with Power Supply, but still if you can give a try connecting your system into other socket may be which is properly grounded one.
if the above didn't fix your issue, i would suggest you to disassemble and then assemble it again. try changing the data cable as well..  Last option left is if you have a spare SMTP checkout with that.
Let me know if it works..!!

I have an emachine T2984 that won't boot. No noise of any kind. I had another emachine T2625 that was working. I took the power supply out of the T2984 (that wouldn't boot) and put it in the T2625 and it...

Power supply sounds fine. If the pc won't power up it could be your motherboard. If the pc is powering up and you get a 'no signal' on your monitor it could be your gpu.
