Try re-seating all of the cards and memory in your PC. Unseated cards are usually the #1 cause of PCs not booting.

System unit or power supply?

The computer power supply may have failed. Do you get the "post beep"?

If not- remove the BIOS battery, move the jumper to "Clear BIOS" . Insert BIOS battery, and try to boot. Put jumper back to normal position and try boot again. If you do not get the post beep, swap power supply for a known good one, and try boot again. If it still does not boot and give you a post beep, look to see if there is a removable BIOS chip- pop it out and put it back in.place, this will clean the terminals. Go through and reset BIOS, as above, and try boot. If the system is functional, it should now boot up, but prompt for you to run the setup program.

If it does not boot, the problem is relating to motherboard/processor.

Monitor will not boot up is reading no input signal

So either the computer isn't generating a video signal, the cable isn't carrying the signal to the monitor, or else the monitor isn't capable of receiving a video signal. To test this, first try a video cable that you know is good, in case your cable is bad, If it works with the other cable, the problem was your original video cable. If it still doesn't work, put your original cable back, and hook another computer up to the monitor. If the monitor makes the same message, the problem is with the monitor. If the other computer works when connected to this monitor, your problem was that the original computer isn't booting (which could be due to several reasons I will list below), or the video adapter is broken.Possible reasons for the computer not booting: bad power supply, bad power button, bad hard drive, bad memory, bad motherboard component. If you determine that it isn't booting, unplug everything except the keyboard mouse monitor and power cord, to see if that makes a difference. If it boots after that, something you unplugged was causing the problem, plug them each back in one by one, rebooting in between, and when it stops booting properly, the last thing you plugged in is causing the problem.

System is not workin properly

You might try this. Shut down the computer, disconnect power cords, disconnect everything at the back of the computer, mouse, key board, etc. Open the case, ground yourself by touching an unpainted area of the case and remove the power connectors to ALL optic drives and floppy drive if you have one. (Of course do not disconnect the hdd.)
Reconnect mouse, keyboard, etc., and power cords to wall outlet.
See if it will post now. If it does I say you have a faulty power supply.
I was given a computer which was doa. It would not post, after I tried the above routine it posted then booted to windows.
I replaced the psu and now the computer works fine.
Hope this helps!

Output to Monitor and Keyboard.

Motherboard is getting 12V, 5,2V from power supply. Probably 5,2V is dead. If you have a friend who will give you a power supply. Put in your computer and you will see that is the problem.

Monitor shut off, no BIOS post, no keyboard or mouse lights, will not boot

The best thing to do in this situation is to build your machine outside of the case, using the minimum amount of hardware,
Remove the motherboard and using only one stick of ram, the monitor, keyboard and mouse. short the power switch connector on the motherboard with a screw driver for a fraction of a second just to power it on.
If it starts up and gives you a "no boot disk" or "no Operating System found" at least you will know it's working and you can slowly connect everything else one by one to see whats preventing it from booting.
If it doesn't start like that, remove the power cord from the power supply and remove the mother board battery for at least 15 minutes, this will clear the BIOS and set it back to factory spec, now carryout the out of case procedure already stated.
