Thanks, after repeated holding down both the STOP button and UP ARROW at the same time it finally released/ejected the DVD.

My next step is to test it with a "junk" DVD.

Ive had this in the work shop befor the cogs can come lose inside the machine if your handy with a screw driver unplug from the mains and take the top of the machine and see if anything has come lose, 50% of the time you can fix this yourself if not you would have to contact panasonic and get them to send a engineer out to you.

Cannot ejuect disc even when holding square button and channel button

unplug the DVD player for 10 - 15 mins... when you plug it back in the wall, press the stop/eject button quickly ( or else the player will try to load disc again.. you will have to repeat this again)

Tip

Force Eject

If a disc gets stuck in the recorder, there a few steps to try before the problem becomes service-related:

1. Power the unit off (so it shows the clock), then simply press the Open/Close button. The unit should power on and attempt to eject the disc.
2. If the above doesn't work - power it off again, then press and hold the STOP and CH UP button on the recorder itself together and hold them down until the unit powers up. This is called a force eject. If this doesn't work (usually if it's not going to work the recorder will simply come on momentarily then loop back into "bye" and go back to the clock), there is one last method to try.
3. Unplug the unit for 30 seconds. Press and hold the same buttons as above as you plug it in. After it performs the self-check "ooooo" across the screen it should do the force eject. If not, the unit requires service to be repaired and possibly the drive replaced.

My panasonic dmr-ez475v has a dvd stock inside and will not open or eject the cd. what to do?

I had the same problem. It would not release the DVD because it was not ready. What worked for me, was to insert a VHS Movie and play it for a few seconds, than stop it using the remote, then Eject with the remote, and then after removing the Tape, I pressed the Open/DVD button on the unit and now it worked, it released the DVD

F60 ERROR CODE ON PANASONIC DMR-ES40V

Unplug the unit for 24-hours. I know, it should not take that long, but in this case I tried shorter periods WITHOUT success!

Just before plugging in unit depress and hold POWER button. You are supposed to hold it for 30-seconds after plugging in, but in my case I did it for 60-seconds. This results in a MASTER RESET that clears all errors, resets interlocks, etc. I could not get past a DVD failure problem, but when I discovered this process everything worked fine!!

Good luck! Hope it works for you too.

I have a Sony RDR-GX360. Some how I have changed the command mode from DVD1 to DVD 3. Now my remote has frozen and I can't do anything with the DVR player. Is there a reset button or please help.

To fix the Sony remote dvd-1 dvd-2 dvd-3 issue is to take the remote for that recoreder into another room or unplug the dvd recorder a moment. Then hold down the enter key and the number of the mode its stuck in ie if its stuck in dvd-1 mode hold down the enter key and then the 1 key. hold both buttons together for 3 seconds. After this go back into the room and try it or if you unpluged tthe player replug it back in. The remote has to be away from the player to work. again example

get away from player different room so it can not sence remote. Hold down enter and 1 button for 3 seconds and then try it
if its stuck in dvd-2 mode dold down enter and the number 2 button together for 3 secondsd and try it. The idea is you have to be far away from the recorder so it dosent recieve any inputs from the remote while doing this.bigsmile.gifclap.gifagreed.gifpuh2.gifbowdown.gifeek.gif To fix the Sony remote dvd-1 dvd-2 dvd-3 issue is to take the remote for that recoreder into another room or unplug the dvd recorder a moment. VCR Stuck

Your machine probably "locked up". Use a toothpick, or some similar item to press and hold the "reset" button on the front panel ( behind the drop down door ) and the unit should reset. Then you should be able to remove the disk.

Stuck dvd disc.

Hi there

Page 80 in the instruction manual tells you how to do this.

In case you don't have a manual, do the following:
While the unit is off, press and hold the stop key (shown on the unit as a button with a small black square on it) for about 5 seconds. It may take longer to eject depending on the disc.

Hope this helps

Dvd will not eject

Try holding down the stop button (black square logo) and the channel change button (upward pointing logo) at the same time for 5+ seconds. If this dos'nt work also press open/close button at the same time as above
