Try booting into safemode (F8) with networking and download malwarebytes (malwarebytes.org) and install and run this program , it will usually find most everything, of course make sure you have a good AV rpogram too!!!!!

Hope this helps,
David

Do you have the option to log in as administrator ourdoes it just go straight to the Safemode in the four corners?

3. go to control panel-add remove programs and remove anything you dont use/ need
4. run defrag, if you havent run defrag in a while, this will seriously slow up your pc

Hi vincent172...
I think you have a virus, worm, trojan, etc on your computer.
Go to the following website and download, install and run the FREE Microsoft Safety Scanner.
It will remove the virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer.
It may take quite a while to finish, it all depends on the size of your hard drive.
Once the Microsoft Safety Scanner is completed running, it should have removed the virus, trojan, worm, etc. from you computer, but if it didn't remove the virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer then it will give you an option to connect (real time) with a Microsoft professional (FREE) and he will take over control of your computer (with you permission) and finish the removal process.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

My dell mini is displaying lsass.exe - system error everytime i boot it up

HI gafleming27...

lsass.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.
Do the following to get rid of the trojan
*********************************************************************************************************************
To remove a virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer...do it the EASY way...let someone else do it for you.
Start your computer, as the computer is starting keep tapping the F8 Key.
This will start the computer in the Safe Mode.
Once in the safe mode go to the following webage below and download, install, and run Microsoft Safety Scanner for FREE.
Once you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (it may take quite a while depending on the size of your hard drive) it will remove all the virus's,trojans, worms, etc it finds, if it does not completely remove them all you will be given a chance to chat with a Microsoft Professional thru a pop open window and he will take control of your computer (with your permission) and finish removing all the rest of the virus's, trojans, or worms that are on your computer for FREE!! Can't beat FREE!!
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

Probably it has some virus that slows down the booting process.Besides that you might have many startup programs, which you can un-install if you don't need at startup. Also, cleaning your disks will be a good idea. These tips might help solve the sluggish attitude!

The people who write viruses have proven to be very resourceful and difficult to find. However there are tools out there to fend off viruses, trojans, malware and all of those other things you don't want on your computer. I just recently published a tip for how to install a free anti-virus program that is distributed and updated by microsoft. Install it, following these instructions and your computer will be much safer!

You can download an antivirus boot disc from here, burn to cd and insert in laptop on boot and run a virus scan to clear any malware ven if the Laptop won't boot.

If a trojan or virus is causing the problem this will clear it.
