This is done through the maintenance terminal. Do you have access to the maintenance terminal?

  • formulacoop May 11, 2010

The M3904 phone works on the bigger pbx's like the Option 11, 51, 61, 81. To change the time on the pbx, which will change the time on the phone, you will have to log into system programming from a console interface connected to the pbx. Do you have access to this console interface and do you know the login and password?

SOURCE: TIME DISPLAY

So the real answer is: Do you people buy these phones and forget to attend the training class, or does your dealer expect you to call evertime something happens?

The time display on a 76xx phone comes from the phone system. It is adjusted via Caller ID, or via system programming.

SOURCE: nortel phone m3904 won't forward to an outside line

The DN may not be configured to allow forwarding to an outside line for security reasons. I think the default is 4 digits. You will need to talk to whomever programs your switch and ask them to allow this feature.

Time display

Check the network time settings. If the phone time is "Set by network" maybe the network time servers are messed up. Set the time on the phone manually and see if the problem is fixed. If the phone is already set manually see if setting it to Set by network will force it to keep correct time, but the internal clock should be more stable than that. You may need to get a replacement if these tricks don't work.
