Hi!  Are you talking about the power brush light on the powerhead?  If so it might just be a bulb replacement as long as the power head still runs.  Let me know so I can help you more.   It could also be a bad connection on the bulb socket.  Hope that helps and thankyou for asking!

Brush not turning

Hey Suzy,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vacuum. There are 2 things you should check for when your brushroll is not spinning.

First, check to see if the belt is properly fitted to the brushroll. Over-time the belt can stretch or break from general ware-and-tear. If the belt is not broken, but has become detached, simply reattach it and you should be ready to start vacuuming again.

Second, check to make sure nothing is clogging the brushroll itself. After prolonged use hair and other particulates can get lodged in the brushroll and prevent it from moving. Simply, remove any debris you find in the brushroll and it should then begin spinning again.

Kirby brush bar is not turning?

Turn off your vacuum and unplug. Look at the brushroll and belt, check if the belt is broken, stuck or stretched out. If the belt is fine, check the brushroll, is it worn out (barely any bristles left) and are the ends warped or melted. Also make sure there is no fibers or hairs wrapped around the brushroll, especially the ends.

The brush is not turning and a red light is on

It could be that the brush motor just needs to be reset. You should find a button near the brushroll cleaner step lever.

Brush won't spin when carpet cleaner is running

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
If the vacuum cleaner brush is not spinning, the brushroll bearing might be jammed. Try removing the brushroll assembly and cleaning all hair, string, lint, etc. from the brushroll bearing. If that doesn't solve the problem the brushroll may need to be replaced.

Rug brush not turning- pushing reset doesn't engage

inspect the brushroll motor switch for proper operation. these fail frequently. if the main brushroll switch is good, there is also a switch inside the body that activates the brushroll motor when the handle is brought back. that switch could also be bad. if all else fails check the brushroll motor for contenuity. if it has high resistance, the motor is bad

Green light on power nozzle of Kirby vacuum, Model G7D

The green light is just to inform you that the brushroll is spinning. there is a magnet on the brushroll that makes the green light come on every time it rotates. also why it looks like the light flickers because the magnet only makes contact once per rotation of your brushroll. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have windsor s12 vaccum this one have brush up light on

The windsor Sensor brush indicator light will come on when:

  • Something stuck in the brushroller
  • Brushroller is worn and needs replacement
  • height is wrong (indicates a problem with height adjustment)
  • a bad circut board/sensor
more than likely your brushroller just needs to be replaced, very common.

Cant seem to get the green light going on vacuum head, hook seems to be wrong way when its should be hooking the band off its doing the opposite

1)First, you turn the square belt lifter on the front of the power nozzle until the red arrows line up (belt off)
2)Remove the power head from the front of the machine. Now turn the belt lifter the other way and line the green arrows up again (belt on).
3)Turn it upside down and release the two clips that hold the metal baseplate on and remove the baseplate.
4)Grab the brushroll and pull it out of the power head. Slide the new belt onto the center of the brushroll. It will hang loose...it doesn't have to stretch around anything yet. MAKE SURE THAT THE BRUSHROLL SPINS FREELY!! If it doesn't, you'll burn all new belts quickly due to the added strain on the belt. New brushrolls are available here...  NEW KIRBY BRUSHROLLS
5)Look at the ends of the brushroll. The brushroll has three height settings...you should see notches AND  NUMBERS on the sides of the brushroll's end caps. ONE notch (also #1) FACE UP on BOTH sides is the first setting and should be used when the roller is new. Three notches is the last setting used before a new roller is needed and should be used if the brushes are short and worn. Put the brushroll back in, making ABSOLUTELY SURE sure that the SAME NUMBER of notches and the same raised number on the edge are FACE UP on BOTH sides. This is important, as the brushroller will be unbalanced if inserted wrong.
6)Replace the baseplate by fitting the front clips into place and then push it down in back and secure it with the two rear swivel clips. Make sure it fits securely down over the bumper on all sides with no suction leakage.
7)Turn the belt lifter to where the RED arrows line up, making sure that the inner "hook" grabs the belt and stretches it up while you are turning it. Once you have the belt stretched up, put the power nozzle back onto the Kirby and lock it in place.
8)NOW...turn the belt lifter back to GREEN. If the little green light on the power nozzle lights up when you turn it on, CONGRATULATIONS!!! The brushroll is spinning!!

My kriby micron magic vac is not picking up .

There are several reasons why your Kirby isn't performing at it's best.Check the fill tube inside the cloth bag for clogs or tears in the fill tube itself. If the cloth bag is full of dirt, you have a broken or loose filltube.Check to see if the belt needs to be replaced. The belt could be streched out or broken.Next, check to see if the bristles on the brusroll are wore down. You could need a new brushroll. If the brushroll is resonably new,it could need to be adjusted down more.To adjust the brushroll.remove it from the housing and turn the ends of the brushroll to the next side, and reinstall. The ends of the brushroll are equipped with offset end,and by turning the ends and dropping it back in,you've adjusted it to the next level. The bristles should extend 1/8-1/4 inch beyond rug plate. Also if theres dirt in the cloth bag,you may have to wash bag to clean out the pores in the cloth.

MY EUREKA WORLD VAC ROLLERS ARE NOT SPINNING. THE LIGHT IS ALSO BURNED OUT. IS THERE A CONNECTION BETWEEN THESE TWO EVENTS?
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Some of the Eureka brushrolls have a sensor in the brushroll that indicates that the brush is moving and the sensor and the light are linked together – you may have a bad brushroll – to check that you need to remove the brushroll, stand it on end and spin it freely, if it does not spin the bearings could be bad or needs to be replaced with a new brushroll and a new belt. The belt change is every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning. . If you need further help please refer to a local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
