Clean the feed rollers and registration rollers or clutch and try your adjustments.

E260 will not print labels

This printer has capability to print on labels. Here are some tips when printing on labels:

· Use labels designed specifically for laser printers. Check with the manufacturer or vendor to verify that the labels can withstand temperatures up to 210°C (410°F) without sealing, excessive curling, wrinkling, or releasing hazardous emissions.

· Labels can be printed at a higher fusing temperature up to 220°C (428°F) if Label Weight is set to Heavy.

· Select this setting using the Embedded Web Server, or from the printer control panel Paper menu. Label adhesives, face sheet (printable stock), and topcoats can withstand up to 25-psi (172-kPa) pressure without delaminating, oozing around the edges, or releasing hazardous fumes.

· Do not use labels with slick backing material.

· Use full label sheets. Partial sheets may cause labels to peel off during printing, resulting in a jam. Partial sheets also contaminate the printer and the cartridge with adhesive, and could void the printer and cartridge warranties.

· Do not use labels with exposed adhesive.

· Do not print within 1 mm (0.04 in.) of the edge of the label, of the perforations, or between die-cuts of the label.

· Be sure adhesive backing does not reach to the sheet edge. Zone coating of the adhesive at least 1 mm (0.04 in.) away from edges is recommended. Adhesive material contaminates the printer and could void the warranty.

· If zone coating of the adhesive is not possible, remove a 2-mm (0.06-in.) strip on the leading and driver edge, and use a non-oozing adhesive.

· Portrait orientation works best, especially when printing bar codes.

· Use only paper label sheets. Vinyl, pharmacy, and dual-sided labels are not supported.

Can you adjust the edge erase area around the border of the copies printed out on the MFX 1430. I would like to reduce it,because it cuts off some of the letters and numbers

Unless someone has changed it(made it larger)...factory default is 2mm void at the edges and you can't make it any smaller than that.

When I print my labels, there are lines that run through it

The lines(voids) are being caused by elements that are worn off the printhead. No energy is getting there to release the ribbon, causing a void area. To see the full extent, just create a label, using your widest label, that prints a thick black line. You will easily see the "void" areas as white lines.

This is common over time due to the constant contact with the ribbon. The elements wear down just like the tires on a car from the constant contact with the road.

The only way to correct is to install a new printhead.

Ensure that you do not have image shift or border erase activated.
Also many copiers will not copy 'edge to edge' as they require a void lead edge to ensure that the copy does not jam in the fuser unit and a void tail egde to ensure that the same is true when duplexing. This adjustment should be done by a qualified technician. Also make sure that your original is not larger than your copy paper as you will have to reduce the image.

Paper jam at fixing unit when copying page with black border and complete tx fax function the tx report will comes out

Does the black go all the way to the very edge.ALL copiers have a void area around the edges of the prevent the copy from sticking to the fuser roller, which operates at nearly 400 degrees while copying. The void area can be as much as 6 mm all the way around, that is to say, all 4 edges.without the void area, the copy will always jam at the fuser or fixing unit.Good Luck

Void line in text when printing and how to remove menu disable

1. the void may be due to the transfer roller has slipped on its axle to the right. Its the black foam roller located under where the cartridge sits. Put your finger on the right edge(power off of course) of the foam and see if you can slide the foam portion to the left. If so..thats it. Paper size problem is something diferent entirely. Be sure the paper guide in the tray is set exactly to the letter size setting if thas the size your using. That back paper size guide is very touchy. the blue notch has to be exactly in the wider looking size notch. Beyond that the tray card itself can be bad.
