Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

6 Answers

I have a Visoneer Road Warrior that is a little over a year old. It works great and I really like it. I caliberate and clean it on a regular basis. I noticed two lines to the left of the page come up yesterday. I cleaned and caliberated to fix it. They are still there. I tried cleaning and caliberating again and still no luck. Any ideas?

It is a scanner and does not have ink. It is a little hand held road warrior scanner. It is paper fed one sheet at a time. I tried doing a reset and then cleaned and caliberated it again. No luck.

My issue is with a hand held Visioneer Road Warrior Scanner. When I scan documents, it has a set of two black lines on the left side of the page. I have cleaned and caliberated twice and it does not clear it up.
This is not an all in one type scanner, does not use ink and scans each page as you hand feed it.

Oh well. I was hoping it would be a quick fix. Thank you for your quick responses.

Sounds as if there are a few bad lcd arrays on the image sensors of your scanner.
Sometimes this happens after moving/bumping, or can simply fail.
There is no end-user repair.
Please take to authorized service center for these proprietary parts.
They cannot be ordered except through the manufacturer.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Check if the scanner screen is clean, if the scanner is clean, then the two black lines are two dead sensor on the CCD sensore array that captures the light in your scanner.

The image sensor (CCD) costs about $30 if you think that is worth replacing, you can order it from Visioneer

Are the two lines in the same place all the time... it may very well be a spec or two of dirt/dust inside the glass... or on the sensor that "picks" up the image

If you have cleaned the scanner and calibrated and still have the lines then the array leds of the scanners are blown out which is causing the lines to generate on the scanners; change the array sensor on the scanner it should
work without lines...

Good luck...

Try reset .

Unplug the unit from power chord for 30 minutes and plug back the power chord to the unit .
This will reset your unit .

Do print head cleaning and also check ink level .

My epson stylus t10 printer can't work properly. it cant print properly. it working but ink isn't Come on paper. please tell me how can i repair it.

You may need to do a head clean (printer preferences/maintainance)
You may need new inks.
If you dont use your printer on a regular basis, ink can dry on the heads, this can make cleaning the heads almost impossible, depending on the type of printer, and how long its left without use

My dialta di3510f is almost 3 years old and has not been used in the past two years...about how much is it worth?

Depending on condition and options...about $1,000. I sell these on a regular basis and I get a little more retail but that is with a warranty.

Acts as if the ink is low with almost unreadable results. has new ink cartridge.

Remove both inks, remove tray ink sets in. Turn upside down and clean with a damp soft cloth. The ink seems to short out giving a low ink status. It should be checked and cleaned on a regular basis. Worked great for me.

I have an Epson Stylus 7600 printer. Now the red ink is not not working.

Try cleaning the ink cartridges with the utility that's supplied with your printer. If you don't use your printer on a regular basis the cartridges tend to dry on the surface and need a good cleaning.

OKI c5200 fuser is jamming, How to CLEAN IT b4 I try replacing it

There are not set instructions to clean the fuser rollers on the 5K range of printers from Oki, this is designed to be a consumable that is replaced at regular intervals through the printers life. this means there is little access to the rollers. Firstly, remove the fuser from the printer and allow it to cool down. At the rear of the fuser, on most models there is a flap that can be opened to give very limited access to the rollers. All that can really be done is to wipe the rollers with a soft cloth to remove any debris that has built up and turn the rollers using the gears on the side. The blue lever on top of the Fuser can be used to separate the rollers to make the task a little easier.

I have an old BJC-80-belonged to my husband who passed away- I don't know where an owner's manual might be to troubleshoot- I turned the printer on, and the paper came out blank. Now I get a flashing green...

If you press the 'resume' button until it beeps twice the printer will enter a print head cleaning cycle. Do this 5 times if the printer has not been used for awhile. This is a great little printer designed for laptop use on the road. I really miss mine. Here is a link for the manual which shows you how to do maintenance on or offline. The ink is cheap for this model as you can change just the tank or the tank and the printhead. The only difficult maintenance is when the 'ink pad' which is at the bottom of the printer gets full usually requiring a service tech facility. Good luck -it is a joy when maintained:) http://www.precision.com/manuals/Canon_BJC80_Manual.pdf
Steve Medley ps: pressing the resume and power button together will print a test page.

Kodak 5300 aio printer won't print black

It is the print head. Cleaning the heads does not do any good, either does replacing the ink. What you'll need to do is contact Kodak's customer service line and they can replace it for you free of charge. On this site everyone seems to be saying it is consistently the black that stops, however, based on what Kodak said it is possible that either the black or the color can have this same issue.

When you call in they will ask you for your service number, which is located on the bottom left corner of the machine, when you lift the lid (as if you were going to replace the ink). They didn't ask me when I bought it, how much I used it, etc.

They will set up a case for you - it takes 2-3 business days for the print head to arrive. They will provide you with an invoice number as well. Be sure to document it all just incase the head never comes, or if there are additional issues after you receive it (and/or if it doesn't solve the problem)
