Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

6 Answers

I have a Visoneer Road Warrior that is a little over a year old. It works great and I really like it. I caliberate and clean it on a regular basis. I noticed two lines to the left of the page come up yesterday. I cleaned and caliberated to fix it. They are still there. I tried cleaning and caliberating again and still no luck. Any ideas?

It is a scanner and does not have ink. It is a little hand held road warrior scanner. It is paper fed one sheet at a time. I tried doing a reset and then cleaned and caliberated it again. No luck.

My issue is with a hand held Visioneer Road Warrior Scanner. When I scan documents, it has a set of two black lines on the left side of the page. I have cleaned and caliberated twice and it does not clear it up.
This is not an all in one type scanner, does not use ink and scans each page as you hand feed it.

Oh well. I was hoping it would be a quick fix. Thank you for your quick responses.

Sounds as if there are a few bad lcd arrays on the image sensors of your scanner.
Sometimes this happens after moving/bumping, or can simply fail.
There is no end-user repair.
Please take to authorized service center for these proprietary parts.
They cannot be ordered except through the manufacturer.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Check if the scanner screen is clean, if the scanner is clean, then the two black lines are two dead sensor on the CCD sensore array that captures the light in your scanner.

The image sensor (CCD) costs about $30 if you think that is worth replacing, you can order it from Visioneer

Are the two lines in the same place all the time... it may very well be a spec or two of dirt/dust inside the glass... or on the sensor that "picks" up the image

If you have cleaned the scanner and calibrated and still have the lines then the array leds of the scanners are blown out which is causing the lines to generate on the scanners; change the array sensor on the scanner it should
work without lines...

Good luck...

Try reset .

Unplug the unit from power chord for 30 minutes and plug back the power chord to the unit .
This will reset your unit .

Do print head cleaning and also check ink level .

I can't depend on it working, sometimes it is great other times it doesn't light.

Intermittent operation is usually a "Flow" problem. Water needs to circulate at a certain amount of water per minute. Most problems are due to restriction of water flow.
Most common problem = Dirty Filter
Backwash on a regular basis for starters.
If a sand filter, sand needs to be replaced on average every 7 years. If a DE filter, then you may need to completely break down your filter and manually remove & clean the grids. Then at reassembly, add the proper amount of DE back into filter by introducing via the skimmer. If a Cartridge filter, then complete break down and manually cleansing the elements. Possibly replacing them if they are older than 4 years old.

Depending on condition and options...about $1,000. I sell these on a regular basis and I get a little more retail but that is with a warranty.

I am a semi-mechanically inclined person and want to try and clean the carb on my 2003 Warrior. Can you tell me where it is located and how to clean?

Hate to tell you this, your bike does not have a carb. It is fuel injected. If the bike is running okay, don't fix it. If it runs poorly, let the dealer fix it. You don't want to get into the system and accidentally mess up the fuel mapping in the Fuel Injection system. These things get really technical very quickly. Best wishes.

In general how many miles (total) a 2002 Santa fe can run? When might it start giving problems with engine, transmission etc? Thanks

Difficult question with all the variables involved. I'll start by saying the Santa Fe is a decent vehicle, and has the potential to last a long time (many miles). However, as with any vehicle, how has it been driven and maintained? If you purchased it new, drove it 'gently' (no racing, wild off road driving, starting it on a 0 degree day and revving the engine to high rpm, etc) maintained it well (fluid and filter changes on a regular basis, topping off fluids (not letting the oil go down a quart before adding- top it off when its only down 1/2 qt at most), fixing anything that starts to go (before a small problem becomes a big one), you could probably get 200k miles or more out the vehicle. What kind of driving do you do? Highway mostly? The # of miles over the life of the vehicle would be highest, if you do short drives around the city, that is tougher on a car, total miles of the life of the vehicle would be less. If you bought the car used, there is the big unknown factor--how did the previous owner(s) take care of the car? Was it owned by a little old lady that only drove it to church on Sunday, resulting in 1k miles driven a year? Sounds great, but letting a car sit w/out driving is actually bad for the car. Has the car been kept clean? If it's driven in an area w/ snow, is the vehicle washed often to remove road salt? Some cars sheet metal fails before the engine and tranny do because of corrosive road salt. So, to answer your question, 'it depends..." Good luck.

My yamaha warrior was sitting for about a yr wont start

Clean the cab, the pilot jet is not allowing enough fuel through so when you turn the choke off there is too much air and not enough fuel in the fuel mixture causing it to die.

Yamaha warrior atv [yfm 350] bogging problem

Try checking the switch for your parking brake. It is the top wire in the clutch handle boot. This wire connects to your CDI box, and restricts the RPM's while the parking brake is engauged. To find out for sure, trace the wire down to the plug under the headlight assembly and disconnect it. Now try starting you machine and give it some throttle!
