I had the same problem with an HP Pavilion laptop. In my case it was very simple. Everytime you close up a laptop the screen pushes down on a little button that signals the monitor to turn off. If that button gets jammed it will stay off. All I did was push the button up and down a few times and the screen started to work. If that fails do a search on the internet about your problem. I did and there is a fix posted. There is some part that can be replaced If I recall correctly that fixes the problem and supposedly it is not hard to replace.

E8400 hp graphic drivers


Want to make sure your drivers are in place and no errors have occurred?
Simply click start right click on my computer select properties then select device manager scroll to Display Adapters and click on the small + you should see the model of your PCI Express graphic card there.

If there is a problem with it, a yellow exclamation mark should appear besides it. If you don't see it everything is OK and your card is working properly.

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers

you might uninstall the display adapter restart your computer then reinstall the display adapter and its drivers
If you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

If you dont have the motherboard disk you might need to download them

No video signal vga laptop to tv


Make sure you have the TV's input set to PC or Computer to receive the signal from the VGA.

Make sure the connections are snug on the computer and on the tv.

Reboot the computer and see if it automatically starts the display on the tv. If not, there are a sequence of keys that you can press to toggle the display between the tv and the computer.

Normally to toggle the display you will have to Press and Hold the FN function key located at the bottom left portion of your keyboard and then hit the corresponding key (F1 thru F12) that toggles the display. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the CRT/LCD on it or it might have the icon of a display.

My computer is not working....i am stuck in windows system32 drivers disk.sys when i try the safe mode...and the installation stops and just turn into black... can anyone help me ragarding this problem?...

What will i do to my hp mini notebook it has a power but it cannot booth

    Laptop computers have LCD displays that are sensitive to many things. LCD displays have faults that sometimes produce a flickering screen, lines, dots or a faint display. These screens are sensitive to magnetic fields or electronic items near the computer. Speakers, cell phones, lights and other electrical items are examples. Your display also could be flickering due to software issues such as the video drivers or hardware issues relating to the inverter going bad or the LCD screen itself needing to be replaced. Trace the cause of your problem to come to a resolution.

    1.Turn off the computer. Disconnect all external devices. Turn the computer over (bottom facing up). Take out the battery and reseat it. Turn the computer on.
    2.Reset your resolution and refresh rate.
    Windows XP:
    Right click an open area on your desktop. Click "Properties" in the drop-down menu.
    Click the "Advanced" button at the bottom of settings tab. Another dialog box appears. Click the "Monitor" tab. Change the Refresh rate to your default, or 60 hertz. Click "OK."
    Windows Vista:
    Click "Start, Control Panel." Find and click "Appearance and Personalization." Click "Adjust Screen Resolution." Change resolution to the default, or 800 x 600. Click "Advanced Settings." Click the "Monitor" tab. Change the refresh rate to the default, or 60 hertz. Click "OK."
    Windows 7:
    Click "Start, Control Panel." Find and click "Display" Click "Change display settings" on the left side. Change screen resolution to 800 x 600. Click "Advanced Settings" in the lower right. Click the "Monitor" tab. Change the refresh rate to 60 hertz. Click "OK."
    3.Check the computer's surroundings. Move away any speakers, fluorescent lights, fans, cell phones, radios and any other electrical device that can cause flickering. Temporarily move electrical items away from the computer to see if they are producing this issue.
    If the flicker stops, put back one item at a time to determine what is causing the problem.
    4.Connect an external monitor to your laptop computer to see if that screen is also flickering. If there is no flicker, then the problem is strictly with the laptop, indicating a possible hardware failure. Contact the manufacturer for a replacement LCD.
    If the flicker continues, go to next step.
    5.Reset/Update your video driver. Click "Start" and right-click "My Computer." Click "Properties." The "System Properties" dialog box will appear.
    6.Click "Device Manager." A list of items will appear. Click the (+) sign next to "Display Adapters."
    7.Right-click the video adapter and click "Uninstall." Confirm removal. Restart the computer. The video driver will automatically reinstall itself.
    8.Check to see if the flicker still exists. If so, go to the manufacturer's website. Download and install the newest video driver and BIOS for the computer.
    9.Restart computer once drivers are installed. Continue to the next step if there is still flickering.
    10.Open up your display screen all the way. If the flicker stops by opening it a certain distance, it is the display inverter. If the flicker still exists, the LCD screen should be replaced.
    11.Contact the manufacturer of the computer for more information and a possible replacement inverter and LCD display. This will depend on the manufacturer and the computer itself.

    When you start the computer,there is no image display on the screen but the computer boots until you hear coming on and yet no image display.


    Use an external monitor to verify that your laptop is booting up. If you get a display on external monitor and not in your built-in LCD, you have 3 possible problem, 1st - bad LCD panel, 2nd - bad inverter, 3rd- bad CFL. In any case, it is easier to just replace the whole LCD assembly. You can find used and cheap ones at www.ebay.com

    Display driver stopped responding


    For this issue , You need to boot in safe mode by tapping F8 key and go to safe mode with networking (As internet works in this mode). Try installing the Driver again from the following website "http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winxp_179.48_beta.html"
