How do i go about reseting my phone directory

    Can you provide more info on this? Is this something in the voice mail? I assume you have an Avaya Partner system but what kind of voice mail do you have?

Using the Call Log or Directories
You can make a call with the call log or directories as follows:
Outgoing Call Log
Incoming Call Log
Extension Number Directory
System Speed Dialing Directory
Personal Speed Dialing Directory
Calling with a call log or directory
While on-hook
>Press Left or Right
until desired log/
directory appears.
>Press ENTER.
>Press Up or Down until
desired item appears.
>Off-hook
To cancel or exit, press cancel or exit.
Clearing the log information
>While confirming the log information
>Press Up or Down until
desired item appears.
>Press "CLEAR".
Storing the caller's information for the Personal Speed Dialing Directory
>While confirming the log information

My phone dials too fast. The only way I can dial a number is by taking it off the hook and manually dialing after I hear the dial tone. If I use Caller ID, redial, directory, or putting in the number...


I had the same problem with a model 6325-4. Worked fine for the first week. Then, tone dial with redial, directory, etc was too fast for system to register the number.
Called Vtech support. After a 15 hold, 5 minute explanation and tech listening to a reproduction of problem over the phone, she asked that I perform a complete system reset (I called via my cell).
I unplugged power from base first, then removed battery from all hand sets. Powered down for ~3 minutes (with tech waiting on line the entire time).
I powered up base first and then reconnected all handsets. Selected a handset at random and performed the same dial from directory test I had done just before power down. The thing worked again. Call went through just fine. Tried several other selections in directory with same positive results. Now, if the system just stays stable and working.

My Norstar M7310 System Admin Password


to reset the administrator pasword enter feature 985 press 9, at the password prompt enter 73738767793 (resetsmpwsd) and press ok or #,press yes to reset password. password should be defaulted to 0000. then try Feature 983. if your system has 2 digit intercom #s your password is 120000.

This is in the vmail programming thru f983, once in here you can change the spelling of the individuals names for the directory,

Dialing 790 on the intercom resets the extension. If you move your phone to another port on the system does it work? If it does, do that and swap directory numbers in programming.

How do I enable the company directory on the NorStar Meridian M7310 phone?


When you add a voicemail there is an option for DIRECTORY, say YES and that will set up a directory.

Need to re-record the directory


you need to know where or what mailbox the directory is recorded in. If you are using the generic one that does spell by name, than you cannot change it. You need to have the new employees setup their mailboxes and add themselves to the directory. ldtsnj.com
