Anytime the pump is running, there should be charge pump pressure present. When the pump is in nuetral, the hot oil shuttle will usually block flow, so the the charge pump builds up pressure untill the charge pump relief opens up, the pressure setting this occurs at depends on the what the OEM wanted. When the pump strokes up, there is a pressure differential between the two work ports, which shifts the hot oil shuttle spool, allowing oil to flow across the hot oil shuttle relief valve which will have a lower setting than the charge pump relief. So in Nuetral you will generally have a higher charge pump pressure and when on stroke, you will see charge pump pressure drop 50 to 100 psi.

Mazda mpv 2000 air conditioner clutch not engaging

Few things could be going on. Let me first say a/c work can be very dangerous and should be done by a qualified technician. First check that you have freon in the system and is at the proper charge. Next check the compressor by unplugging it and supply a 12 volt aux power to pump. If it turns on move on to the pressure switch "thinking you know what to do if it doesnt turn on. " jumper the pressure switch with a small wire at the harness plug and see if it will turn on. If none of these work and ALL the fuses and relays are working replace the control head unit... but I still strongly suggest you bring it in to get it fixed...

Air condiditioner compressor replaced

If you replaced the compressor unit, normally R-12 or what ever is used, is evacuated and thus they create a vacuum, then recharge the system to the proper level of gas/ pressure. Vehicles have a vacuum controlled shut-off valve to stop or reduce the flow of anti freeze from the engine to the heater core, near the condenser. There is sometimes a pressure control valve or switch to control, when the actual compressor unit clutch engages to start to pump the gas to cool the cabin area of the vehicle.
There are also fuses/ circuit breakers near the left front fender well under the hood, and left driver's side under left side of dash. I am presuming that the clutch assembly on the compressor functions properly engaging/ disengaging, when system is properly "charged."

Compressor clutch not engageing, ran a wire from alternator and clutch does work fine. leaving me with the impression that there's a faulty switch or sensor. don't know were to look.

Hi, when a compressor clutch does not engage on its own, it is more then like lost its freon, and is off on its low pressure switch, or low enough for it not to engage. It will start if you bypass the low pressure switch as you did. If you start your car, turn the ac on, and jump it out it will start to cool right away if it has freon in it. It will not burn out anything if you do it for only a few minutes. But, the compressor is good, and I doubt very much if its a relay to the pump. If this auto is older and has the valve depressor fittings for R-12 and not R134A, you can depress the high side, smaller line and it will have lots of pressure on it. I would go to the auto parts store and get the charging hose with gauge and can, hook them up to the low side large fitting if it is R134A, and you will know by the pressure on the gauge if its out or low. If you pierce the can to add some, the clutch will engage on its own, and that will tell you you have a leak. Depending on how long it lasts, will tell you how large the leak is.Doing this will save you lots of $$$$. Please let me know the outcome, but I am 99% sure you have lost the charge if you can jump it out.

No gas getting to carb. change relay,,fuse pulled sending unit and pump tested pump pumps good

OK well first its not a carburater , it is throttle body feul injection. If you are pumping the pedal expecting to see gas squirt it will not happen. You need to use a feul pressure guage and see if you have pressure at the throttle body.If you do not then you need to make sure you have 12 volts at the pump and a good ground source. Also just because the pump will pump does not mean it will make pressure. The pressure should be at least 12 psi.If you have feual pressure you probaly have another problem that is keeping the injectors from opening.I would have diagnostic codes pulled.

Charging an empty freon system and clutch wont engage for recharge

you cant just charge it. it needs to be evacuated with a vac pump. The clutch will not engage until it has enough pressure.

710 d has problem in hydrolics ax like main pump is destroking to soon no power in all hydrolics. did presure test found low presure in charge circuit on test port on main pump .have checked or replaced...

hydraulic pump may be going out, you have to have a good working pump for your hydraulics to work right, there are also some check valves that could be leaking, this will also give you a low pressure reading, low pressure will also effect pto engagement

A/c will not work . pump will not engage

The system is likley low on gas, causing the low pressure switch to dis-able the compressor clutch.
Check the low gas pressure switch by briefly looping the switch out of circuit.
If the compressor clutch now engages normally it confirms low system gas (Don't run for long like that or it will ruin the compressor).
Get the system re-gassed and checked for leaks.
