Sounds like your dealing with a software issue. Most likely a video driver. if there was a recent time that the machine worked, I'd run a system restore. Then look for what might have been installed that caused this problem so you can stay away from it.

Many times these smaller KVMs will cause the keyboard and or mouse to stop functioning, especially if its PS2. The only solution I have found is to shutdown all PCs, this will recycle the power on the KVM. Then bring them back up one at a time.

I powered my computer on but the sceen does not bring the programs

take the battery out and unplug the power cord..... now hold down the power button. put the power lead on and power up pressing the power button the screen should go fuzzy and clear up. no when the operating system comes on put the battery back in without un pluging the power cord. leave for a few minutes then restart the laptop should be fine if not repeat up to 3 times if it dont work then the mother board or the screen has failed.

Some mouses stop responding if you do not use it for a few minutes. This is usually a battery saving feature. Usually all you got to do is use the scroll button to reactivate the mouse by scrolling up or down. This will bring the mouse back to life. When you change the ports you are actually doing the same thing (reactivating). Also check whether battery needs changing.

Logitech Marble Mouse became erratic then stopped

Nope have to throw it away and buy another. I've had this same problem every 3-4 months: works fine then it disappears from device manager then it works again at random. I end up replacing it after my curser stops moving for minutes at a time. After a few months the replacement does the same thing. My 5th replacement will be Kensington, Logitech apparently sucks

Toshiba wireless mouse cursor not moving!

Try replacing the batteries or if it has rechargeable batteries, try removing and replacing them. Also clean the red lens on the bottom of the mouse with a cotton swab. Good luck!

The j-mouse switch is faulty or dirty. The best thing you could do to solve this is replace the keyboard on the laptop. The HP Parts Store should have replacement keyboards that you could order or search on eBay.
