Question about SanDisk Sansa Fuze MP3 Player
I have windows xp iit wont detect my mp3 player? Can you please help?" my computer doesnt recognize my mp3 player. i have a sansa fuze 4gb mp3 player, and windows will not show it or recognize it in any fashion other than beeping at me when i plug it in. any suggestions? My Sansa Fuze 4gb mp3 will beep and look as if it is beginning to charge when I plug it into my laptop, and I can see the files on the Sansa through the my computer on my laptop, but it won't accept new files and it won't actually charge. It charges off of my other laptop, so I know the problem isn't with the mp3 player.
What i would recommend you to do is to uninstall the device and
reinstall it back...to uninstall it...assuming that you are running windows xp...click on start, right click on my computer and go to properties..you should have your system properties open then click under hardware
then device manager...look for the sansa device..it usually located
under portable device..if its not showing there i would recommend you
to look for under disk drives and see if its there..right click on the device and click on uninstall...after you unintall it unplug your device from the computer....Then follow this link below to download
.Then check the mode of yuor device to make sure it sunder MTP not
msc...To check the mode go under menu, settings and choose usb mode...After you check the mode open up your windows media
player click on tools, options and click under privacy...clear the
history and caches...after you finish you can plug the device on the
back of the computer not the front then windows should recongnize it and it should work properly..if that doesnt solve the problems upgrade your windows media player to 11 even though you have done that already..and try to reconnect your device..make sure you have it connected on the back USB>>>
And if that doesnt work try to obtain the driver for your sandisk device go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

For the Sansa Fuze there's a manual available in pdf format on the Sandisk support site:
Save this file to a location on your computer for later use.
When you explore "My Computer" the micro SD card with x GB memory, should be available as an extra external drive.
This drive will show up as an extra drive letter with a total capacity of x GB .
