I am a newbie with linux OS and i have installed UBUNTU 8.1 on my HP pavillion 1106 ax laptop. I am not able to connect to the internet due some network issue.

I think we need the wireless adapter's drivers to make it work in Ubuntu. The same thing happened to me when upgrading from Vista to XP. My computer was built around Vista, and I had to search the net for hours finding all of the drivers to make XP work.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Am using in my laptop linux os, but its not showing wifi connection in my home,

Linux does not usually play nice with wireless routers, it can take up to four to five reboots to access the router. A trick that I usually do to connect to the router is to join an unlisted network, and use your router's name as the unidentified network name. That sometimes works for me.

I hope this helps!
