I have an ma audio hk2000d. A couple years ago I hooked it up to a set of subs an it played just fine underpowered then it popped a fuse on the amp. Now every time I Start playing music the fuse pops. I...

Have you tried different speakers? If a speaker has a short, it will draw too much current from the amp and pop the fuse. Also, does the amp pop a fuse on idle, or just under load. What is the gain set for?

My subs are skipping notes and only play low notes decently and only play when the volume is at full blast. The amp wiring is fine and the radio wiring seems alright. No idea why it is

First of all the bass needs to be tuned down on stereo you shouldn't need to turn volume fill blast then you set your amp so your subs sound good hope you have a cross over. Never tune the gain on your amp past 3/4 ether play with you air flow to that some times works I found that if you do this your bass gets louder less risk blow

When I turn the volume up past 3 it starts this

I suspect you are going into protect mode which backs the gain way off to prevent over driving.

You MAY be trying to get too much volume out of it. Remember that the value of "3" on the volume means ALMOST nothing as you may have a hotter guitar. Some guitars with internal preamps EASILY overdrive the amps at low settings. Do not use excessive gain at the input.

If the amp is real low volume way below what is needed to play, then there may be a problem with the protection/compressor circuit.

Suggestion: Take your guitar to a music store and compare action on an IDENTICAL amp.

Peavey Bass Amp TKO115s

Start with a clean setting - zero cut and zero gain on the Eq. Play a song close to the amp, and then move away, playing the same notes. Do you still get the distortion? Change lower the input gain and repeat the test. Lower the output gain and repeat. Are any outboard distortion pedals in the mix, such as overdrive? Eliminate them. Run straight through from your axe to the amp. Check for any distortion settings. Set everything including reverb to zero. When the distortion disappears, this is your base setting.
Change only ONE parameter at a time. When the distortion comes back, you have found your problem.+

Amp volume problem

Sounds like you have a bad or dirty gain potentiometer. Try turning the gain up and down with the volume at a moderate level. If u hear static, it is possible the potentiometer is bad or dirty. Replace with one of the same value and see if that solves your problem.

Subwoofer Trouble

Turn the bass gain all the way down., Turn up your your volume on bass test song. Crank up the little box next to the steering wheel wide open . Now go gradually turn up the bass gain on the RF amp until you get distortion. Turn the gain down slightly. Now you can enjoy playing the bass from one end of the little boxes setting to the other without ovrloading your amp and subs. Open a can of whoopass on anyone who tries to crank up on your gain.
