Question about Intel Deluxe PC Camera CS330 Webcam

Cannot find stray entries indicating Intel Video Phone installed

I just installed and then uninstalled the Create and Share software for the old CS 330 -- on a Vista Premium computer. I'm trying again to install it and get a message saying that the Intel Video Phone is installed and must be removed first. I have done all kinds of registry scans, temp file, and directory scans to look for Intel entries, but can't find anything. Is this due to some hidden registry or other entry that I don't know how to look for? I don't need the video phone or software -- just installing the driver does work with Vista. I just want to find the stray entries and get rid of them.

Thank you for trying. The first thing I had done before was use the control panel to uninstall any Intel programs programs. The fact that on reinstalling, I got a message saying the video phone is installed says to me that the uninstall program is not removing all of the Intel entries. That's why I did registry scans. Something, though, is still obviously remaining. I also cleaned out various temp file folders. I also have the latest (last) drives and software from Intel -- the original updated CD. In summation, unfortunately, your solution was not helpful. Thanks again for trying.

Ok. If you like, let us try something else...

Have you made a clean installation of Vista or did you made an upgrade from xp ?

Do you have enough free space on your drive so we can reduce an actual partition to leave space for an other one where we can make a clean Vista installation? Or an other support (external drive or huge usb key 32gig recommended) big enough to support Vista installation?

Hi,
The only thing you can try is windows update. Go to start, program, windows update, run the update and look for a hardware update in the left column, make sure the web cam is pluged in and turn on first.
Good luck.

Intel Create and Share Camera Serial Number

I just got a new pc and decided to intall my Intel create and share camera on it. It is the best camera I ever had and I know it is old. I have the cd, but must have thrown the sleeve out as I keep all my discs in one cd holder. Now on set up, I am being asked for the Serial number which would have been written on the back of the sleeve. Is there any way around this or can I get the software from somewhere else?

CS110 to use on XP

To the best of my knowledge, Intel has not released an upgraded driver for create and share for windows XP sp2, and will not be doing so in the future, without an upgraded driver it won't work.

Sorry.

Hope this helps.
