Hi, I have the Acme 6001 Juicer and I love it! I would take the broken bracket and the juicer to a machine shop that does welding. Shouldn't cost more than a few bucks for them to spot weld the bracket back on. A good maching shop can fix this as they will have another bracket to reference the repair. hope this helps...gary One of our local shops can fix about anything and they are very reasonable and pretty quick.

How do you take it apart to clean

You can find the user manual here, and it does show you how to take it apart; disregard that the photo in the manual isn't a stainless steel model.

Well the cover locks in place and holds the juice bowl down. The clutch nut

How do you open the acme juicerator to clean out the extract

I have a 1962 manual which might be too old but here's what it says: When juicing is completed, simply remove the spring-clamp top, unscrew the wing nut or spring clutch that holds down the cutter blade, and all parts to be cleaned may be lifted from the base. Bowl and top, being non-porous, similar to glass, require only rinsing. Blade should be washed under running water, using a stiff brush. Since the basket is made of stainless steel, it, too, cleans easily. After taking out the the pulp, let cold water run on the outside of the basket while you brush the perforated section. Any remaining particles of pulp will be loosened and can be removed with a damp sponge or by rinsing. Dry and reassemble for next use. Turn machine on and let run a few seconds.
Hope this is of some help.

My power juicer wont turn on

Make sure the stainless bar that runs across the top from left to right is snug properly in its place. It has a cut off switch for safety. Otherwise check the outlet.

On the stainless steel basket notice a notch cut out on the rim above the spout and an indentation on the back of the basket near the rim. The plastic ring must snap on to the steel basket before placing the assembly on the motor housing. If it does not snap on, it is not fully seated. After the ring is seated and on the motor base, push the basket on and spin it. Confirm that the basket clears the ring. Place the top cover with feed tube over the unit and lock the two clips down. This procedure should solve your problem.
