Question about Syntax Olevia 537H Television

1 Answer

Memory loss and inability to channel scan Olevia H537

Sometimes will not allow me to access channel scan, it is set for home. sometimes it will go through to the channel scan but will not scan and shows the picture behind the menu instead of the black screen while scanning. I have reset the factory settings, but this does not fix the problem. I have unplugged the tv and tried again to no avail. Are there codes to repair the problem or at least to list the problems? Thanks in advance.

instead of unpluging tv from wall, there is a on- off switch next to the power cord in back of tv. turn switch offfor a few seconds then turn on again. then retry to down channels, might take a few times, but it works for me.

I lost the channel reading from Olevia into Cable TV. Olevia will not longer ready or recognized any tv channel.

WHEN I PLUG INTO ANTENNAE--I GET " NO SIGNAL"---BUT I KNOW THAT THERE IS A SIGNAL BECAUSE I GET A PERFECT PICTURE ON MY SONY COLOR TV? HOW CAN I GET THE OLEVIA TO RECOGNIZE THE ANTENNAE SIGNAL?

You'll need to use the Olevia remote and press the MENU or SETTINGS button. The choose the SETUP or MEMORIZE CHANNELS option. MEMORIZE CHANNELS may be in an ANTENNA screen.

When you memorize channels you'll need to set the option for Antenna or Cable TV then have it memorize channels.

The television will run through each channel looking for signal and memorize those it finds. Sometimes it finds a very weak signal and you'll need to manually remove some.

Channel scan lock

The main system memory IC has damaged. check and replace it. It can be located very near to main system control IC [an 8 solder terminal, small IC]. Even though it is very small in size, function to it when the set works is great. Work is a semi-skilled one. sometimes you might have to enter its service mode options to reset the mew memory IC. If such need occur, visit this site, named Electro-help. Check this link, and select the site.

I have Dish Network and remote #1 and 2...the TV for Remote #2 has now changed but the remote will not work...I replaced it with an Olevia Flat Screen (used one) 32in LCDHDTV Model 432-S12 but cannot...

If this hasn't been resolved, I do have some steps that will help you out. The link below will walk you through a power scan, which will program the remote to the tv. At that point, you will be able to change the channels on the tv with the remote.

Factory reset was reset---now we have a no signal on the screen

Please go to tuning menu and select Auto Scan/ Auto Tuning to tune all available channels to store in tv memory.
Factory reset actually delete all data/ settings in memory chip and set tv as it was in-box.
Thanks.

Because I was curious i tried that to see what happen..and it worked!!
Olevia tv fixed!!!
Easy..your tv is not able to scan cahnnels...then, the solution is to plugging "a thing" that can do that: a converter box.

The digital tuner on my Olevia LT37HVS LCD TV freezes sometimes. When it does, you can't change channels, adjust the volume or even shut it off short of unplugging it. All of the other A/V inputs work just...

Tune the tv to a channel that is just blue screen. Then turn the tv off and unplug for at least 30 sec. Then plug the tv back in and turn it on. Then leave the tv on the blank screen channel go into the menu and do auto cable channel search. After the search is complete try all channels. This worked for me. My tv will not scan if the tv is on a channel that comes in. GOOD LUCK these tv's are junk .

No tv signal on my olevia 232-s12

cable or Ant.. ? after the scan if there is no channels found (0 digital, 0 analog) then try with cable or Ant to see if any of them work.. if they still don't pick up any channels and the whole yellow progress line goes across.. then it sounds like the tuner on the tv is bad.. and the tuner is part of the main-board so the whole main-board will have to be exchange or repair.. contact Amergence technology they are a 3rd party repair center that service Olevia TV's and they will be able to give you an idea on the repair cost..
