Re: Messaging Inbox And Outbox Issue
Hi im josh in cebu phils. Friend as a mobile phone technicians we have encountered a lot of this problem. Here are the things to do to solve your problem. 1. Try to check whether you haven't save the same numbers at your phone book because doing a such may cause this problem. Because when two numbers with the same file name are already save in.it will cause the memory to mislead which of the two would be displayed in the screen. remember all the numbers are save in the memory and everytime the number will send a message it will be registered to the memory and thats the time it will react the match number assigned to the filename designated to the number who sent and display the name on the screen. and if there are two numbers saved with same file name the software will discredit or discard the file name to be displayed thats why it appears only a number. the best thing to do check the number and avoid duplication so that you may keep away such problem. 2. Check the phone setting display number and be sure it is enable to Name or Name and number format. thats all friend good luck hope i helped you.

check all your messaging this happens to me frequently. If your outbox has x amount and your inbox has an x amount as well as the draft folder it all adds up even tho logically it should be determined per folder. Empty the outbox first then your drafts that'll fixya right up
I had this same problem. You need to delete your outbox. When your on the screen that says inbox/drafts/outbox etc. the outbox doesn't say that there is anything in it but it automatically saves all your text messages. You need to delete the ones in your outbox.
Two possible problems here, the new messages could be server messages, your inbox is completely full and there (unfortunately) really is no choice to but to delete either a large number of the messages in your inbox or delete all. If that doesn't work it needs to be taken into a retailer to be either repaired or trashed. Had a similar problem with the same phone and i had to delete all my inbox messages and it still showed that i had messages and they were server messages.
Does it show signal bars on the screen and are you able to make/receive
calls? If not then that is why. AT&T does not guarantee in building
service. If you do have signal and it is working other than text, then
check your message center number in the device:
From the standby screen, press Menu.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Text Message.
Enter appropriate Message Center Number, then press Done. The message
center number that should be there is +13123149810 (and the + sign does
need to be in front of it)
Check your "messaging" application, in which you view your "inbox, outbox, saved, drafts". There should be options within that application that will allow to delete any recent txt messages. Hope this helps! Thanks.
This is because the Razr stores texts and emails dynamically according to message size and physical memory available. To balance it out, you would have to delete some outbox messages to store more inbox messages and vice versa. The amount of pictures, ringtones, incoming/outgoing calls, emails, texts, and videos all are drawn off the physical memory of the Razr. The device does not have dedicated application memory so everything is taken off the small amount of memory you are given. Newer Razr's such as the V3m for Sprint offer Memory Cards to supplement additional memory. Your device is equipped with a microSD card slot and you can save your music, pictures, and videos to the card and leave the additional phone memory to texts and application memory. You may not be able to save that much more if you move the pictures and music, but you can save more than if you didnt have a memory card. When reaching the maximum limit of memory the phone will tell you that you need to delete some files before continuing to do anything on the phone.
When first turned on, select "messages." then down arrow to inbox or outbox. Select choice. For outbox, down arrow to SENT. Select. Hit the center button. scroll down twice to delete the one message. Scroll down once more to delete ALL messages from the sent outbox. Confirm and out they go!
Now, does anybody know how to email text messages so they can be saved?
