I have mercury mother board and its having nine pinsocket for reset switch, power switch,hd led ,etc but i dont know their proper connections. there are some nos besides but not understandable . can you...

Hi Rajen samani!
Most mercury motherboards with a nine pin front panel connection use the following configuration.
joehaydu_0.jpg
You may want to double check to make sure that your motherboard follows this configuration. Just go to http://www.mercury-pc.com/downloads.php, enter your model number, and you'll be able to download the manual for your board. The jumper configuration should be in a section labeled "Front Panel Connection" or something similar.
Hope that Helps!

Need front usb motherboard configuration

You dont need to configure any usb ports if the usb ports are enabled in BIOS all the usb ports will be activated automatically(front and rear). If still you want to check, go to BIOS and check if they are enabled.

Hard drive configuration

look for a sata connector on your main board that looks like this:
http://images.tomshardware.com/2005/11/23/pc_interfaces_101/sata.jpg

If your main board does not have one of these connector then you do not support SATA. If it does make sure you connect the drive in SATA0 or SATA1 what ever is the lowest. Also SATA does not require any jumper configuration.
