RDS is Radio Data System...a broadcaster using same can provide station call
letters, format information, song titles, etc., to RDS enabled
receivers/tuners, which then read out the alphanumerics on their displays.
This is fairly common in Europe, but has not caught on as much in US. It
makes no difference in the audio. It is a display scheme only.
Sorry, not a clue. Perhaps someone else can elucidate. I know others
differ on this, but I personally do not consider the computer an audio
device. It can be, but I've just never put my money there.
