I have a gree window type airconditioner with wireless remote control. The remote seemes working because the display screen is responding to the push of the buttons. But the window type unit is not responding to the remote control. I can only turn it on by pushing the emergency switch and it is fixed to 25 deg. How can I change the temperature setting without using the remote control?

Ok, there are a few things to check.
1. Batteries on the remote.
2. Reset remote - switch sometimes in battery compartment and sometimes behind cover, need to press with sharp nib or pen.
3. Check on indoor unit that remote has been selected on the manual/auto switch, located under the cover on right hand side.
4. Remove indoor unit cover complete, (three screws behind the louvers and one on the electrical cover). Change the remote sensor board.

There are a couple of things you can check. First and most obvious are the batteries on the remote. Second, there is a reset button on the remote which is sometimes in the battery compartment and sometimes behind a cover. This is pressed with the nib of a pen of similar sharp object. Third, check that on the indoor unit if you lift the cover and look to the right hand side of the unit there is a selector switch which you can select auto, manual or forced operation and remote. You should select remote. Fourth, for this you will need to remove the complete indoor unit covers, there are three screws behind the louvers and then some in the connection side. You then can check that the remote sensor board is plugged into the main board securely. If it is you will have to probably replace the complete remote board.

The lamp light should NOT be RED.
The lamp light should be yellow for the lamp timer warning.

There are two ways of retting the lamp timer=
1) on the TV use the vol - button. push until vol goes to zero, then keep holding it down
on the REMOTE push the "split" button

the yellow light should go out indicating that the lamp timer has been reset
if this fails to work,
on the REMOTE, use the "PLAY" button, instead of "split".
you may have to try this a few times to get it to "take". you'll know when the YELLOW lamp light goes out.

However, a RED LAMP light means you lamp is not working or missing.
reseat your new lamp into the TV...and be certain the LAMP DOOR is securely CLOSED.

How do i reset the new lamp hours after installed the new one?

The reset instructions often are in the box with the replacement lamp; use those directions if you have them.

Try holding the Volume Down button on the TV while pushing the Play PIP button on the remote for about 5 seconds. If that doesn't work, try the Split button instead of the Play PIP button on the remote. You should see a message that the Lamp hours have been reset before you release the two keys.

I hope this helps.

How to split the screen to look at 2 channels.

try looking under your TV's menu, find the pip or split option and set them up, then on your remote, you should have a pip/split button..see if you can now watch tv with pip or split. If you need more help please be more specific about what the tv is doing when you push those buttons on the remote etc.

Unable to reset Lamp Hour Meter on Panasonic PT-50LC14

Try this, using the Panasonic remote, wait until the notice about your lamp goes AWAY (it wont work with the message still up).
Hold the volume down on your tv while holding the split/play button on the remote.
You will get a notice about 4-5 seconds later that it was reset.

Hi, I have the fix for you....EXIT out of the message telling you to reset you meter. Now you need to push the - vol (neg vol) button on you set, at the same time push the split button on your remote (very bottom of the remote is the split button with the vcr controles) You need to push these at the same time for 20 or more seconds and you will recieve a message that the metter has been reset. Exit out of that message and all should be fine. Took me about 15 minutes to get to a tech to walk me through it.

Reset lamp meter panasonic pt44lcx65

Greetings!

It's been a while since I did one of these, but if I remember correctly:

- Turn on the set
- Push volume down on remote and at the same time....
- Push Split on the remote and hold both for 5 seconds

This should do it. The display should reset to "0". If not, try using the PIP button instead of the Split button. I have heard of a few sets using this sequence. Either way, the key is holding both buttons simulataneously for at least five seconds.

Good luck!
Rob

Lamp meter on Panasonic PT-40LC12 ?

I just had my picture go out two weeks ago. I took it to a local tv repair shop. They replaced the thermal fuse. I also had a spare lamp so they also replaced that. I'm not sure if they reset the lamp meter but this is what I found surfing around...try at your own risk. I'm going to try this when I go home tonight.

Good Luck...

Press the power button to turn the unit on.
While pressing the Vol-(volume down) button on the projection display,
hold down the PIP button on the remote control at the same time for more
than 5 seconds. When the reset procedure is complete the following message
will appear on the screen. "Lamp time was reset to 0".

Lamp timer reset

You will need the remote that shipped with the television. Take it with you up to the television then press and hold the VOL- button on the TV and the SPLIT button on the remote. Message should say "lamp time was reset to 0". Make sure the remote is in TV mode and aimed at the TV's IR sensor.

This also works for the Panasonic PT-61LCX65. You hold the volume button down on the projection display, then hold down the Split/ DVD button on the remote control at the same time. I just did it after reading the advice posted. Thank you!
