Question about Norcent Technologies LM-762 17" Monitor

Open Question

Norcent Monitor LM-762 right-half of screen is white columns

Running Norcent Monitor with my Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop; worked fine for several months. Without warning, it split the Norcent Monitor screen image in half, vertically--the left side is in full color, and displays half of the total image. The right side is all white with 4 or 5 columns delineated by narrow black vertical lines -- almost like columns in an Excel spreadsheet, but all evenly spaced and of course no horizontal lines.
About the same time I had occasional problems with Excel...sometimes a spreadsheet would "lose" the Excel menus at the top of the screen and in their place it would have the "e" for internet explorer... as if the Excel spreadsheet had morphed into an internet page.
How can I find a driver for Norcent? (to re-load) I've tried several websites but nothing delivers a solution. At driver detective it reported {Dell's ??] Mobility Radeon 7500C was out of date...I see this name when I select the use of two monitors. Is this the problem? Or should I remove Excel and re-load Excel? I don't need the monitor often, but when I do, gosh, I really need it. Thanks.

SOURCE: Where can I buy a replacement inverter for Norcent

You can try here: http://www.lcdparts.net/DI3D.aspx
You need to get the numbers as printed on the PCBA to see if they have it in stock.

Monitor flickers with lines across screen

screen is going bad which is why its flickering and has the lines across the screen. Theres a board behind the lcd and when that doesn't process the voltage properly it can cause the screen to flicker. White lines across the screen means the screen is going bad. At this point unless your monitor is under warranty, go ahead and replace it.

My OCD LOCKED keeps popping up on my LM-965W Norcent LCD display how do I fix it. I have no manual or instruction book.

I am having about the same problem with my monitor. The solution I was given, was to take my monitor to a repair shop and have them mess with the rubber behind the buttons, because they are sticking. Or save your $ and do it yourself.

I cant get the right resolution on my Norcent monitor

If the company said you need a driver, how come the monitor don't come with a CD to install the Driver? How come they did not point out how you can get the Driver? Look in Device Manager under "Monitors". Does it say "Plug and Play"? If so, you don't need any monitor driver. Try adjusting the resolution on the desktop also, right click in desktop, properties, settings, adjust the slider...

Dell E171FPb monitor turns on, but that's it

Hi Letneper,

Hope this will give you hints. Some monitors have standby mode or screen saver feature and or self test feature when not connected to video input of your PC or CPU. Except this problem did not occur at first use. You can turn this off like other monitors manually at OSD (on-screen display) settings if available. No more no less if it works fine with PC or CPU on then there's nothing to worry.

Brightness fades

This is a Common problem MOST if NOT ALL, problems like this with this type of fault it is invairably a problem with the Power Supply, in the PSU Electrolytic capacitors dry out and often cause this type of exact problem... It is a relitively simple fix, by replacing the caps with new ones... Any good shop should be able to fix for a modest fee.. OR if ya know anyone handy with a soldering iron maybe they could do it for you there are generally about 4 - 6 to replace... in the PS section, just do them all to be safe..
