Hi!

When you apply the wallpaper the screen turns black? The picture you are applying is a .jpeg file or a .gif file?

If your talking about your wallpaper coming up as blank, try chaining the theme, it should solve that issue. Do clarify if this is not the case.

For an animated desktop wallpaper in vista ( available only in ultimate version), you will need to run the windows vista ultimate extra updates namely - "WINDOWS DREAMSCENE". After that update you can set any vedio as your desktop baground.

Destop background

Go here http://forvistawallpapers.blogspot.com/
and download the picture you want. After download is done, go to folder where the picture were downloaded and right click to picture and click set as wallpaper. or copy the picture and go to C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper and paste it there. This is the folder where Windows keeps pictures for wallpaper.

Vista codecs?

That happened because Vista 64 codecs are different from Vista 32 codecs.

Try downloading from one of the following links:

Download VistaCodecs x64Components
|MG| Vista Codec x64 Components 1.5.2 Final

Xvid codec vista 64 Free Download
Or try

Vista Ultimate 64 bit dreamscene shows black screen....

Hey there,

could i ask to see if you have upgraded to the Vista SP1? and make sure you have the correct drivers for your graphics card...ESPECIALLY if its Nvidia, they are known for there buggy work with vista, so check for updates. I dont usually find updates appealing or neccessary but in Nvidia's case, that rule is highly disregarded!

Good luck and tell me whats up after that, ill do some checking for ya!
