I just bought Sony handy camDCR-SR45. With the one, I could get somevideos. Unfortunately, when I perform editing with ULEAD8, eventually I couldnot get its sound, the original sound was disappearing, then, and there wascrossing sign on volume point. While I did editing it with PINNAKEL program, the results were disappearing of the pictures as well as the sounds. Until now, I am still working withWindows 2007. Looking forward, I will have yoursoonest response. Gbu, hart

- Thank you for the fast response.
I use Windows XP 2007. Actually, I have tried many alternatives of solution for editing my video but the problem was still there. I got panic then I went to computer shop to get any help. Do you think that the problems come from the windows the damage ULEAD8 program? Before editing the video (after transfering from handycam to my laptop) all is ok for the video, but problems come after editing with ULEAD8.
May I still require your help?
I am waiting any help from all of you.
Thank you.
Gbu,

connect your camcorder using your USB cable to your computer and be sure it is ON
Install the cd driver camed with your camcorder. if you didnt prompt on looking for a driver then go to the add hardware on the control panel and follow the procedure there.
after the installation you should see the icon on the my computer labeled scanners and cameras and indicating the model of your camcorder.
Install Ulead Power Producer or any editing movie that you have like Windows movie maker, nero movier maker etc.. i prefer to use Ulead because its so easy to use
after uploading and editing your videos using ULEAD save it on any various types of videos that you like. you should see it after you want to save it.
burn your videos on NERO software
by the way i would suggest that you use windows xp(because im using ULEAD without any problem issue) instead of pinnacle and do it at your own risk.
You shouldn't need the cd that came with the camcorder. Chances are it doesn't work with Vista anyways. If you reinstall Ulead or Pinnacle again that should do the trick.

When I open the view finder, I am looking at a screen that is upside down. However when I transfer video to the computer it is right side up which tells me it is the handycam itself. Is there a setting for this?
