Question about Projection Televisions

My Sharper Image 5 Time Zone Atomic Clock has no number/digital display, even after I changed batteries, and resetting the clock. Could it be some problem with the LED display? What's the problem, and how to fix it? Thank you. Bich Tran

I took the batteries out for 10 minutes, put them back, still no display.
I put the reset button, still no display.
There is also a back up batteries (3 volt). Do I need to replace that too?
    Thank you.
    Bich

I opened the back and check the wiring, it seemed to be OK.
The clock maker has the name of Sharper Image which has been closed down, filing bankruptcy. Any suggestion is appreciated.

If the display is blank, test the LCD ribbon cable, if cable is fine , then probably the main controller board is defective.
Replacements for Sharper Image may be difficult to find, this unit will normally be considered beyond repair.

Ok, the clock you have here is experiencing circuit board failure. the main transfer module has failed due to reaching its life span. these products from sharper have only a 3 to 4 year life span unfortunately. i bought an Ionic breeze from this company and it lasted only a year until the board failed. considering the fact that the company filed for bankruptcy, there i no way to send it in for this repair and i would just cut my loss and replace with a more durable atomic clock with better components.

Hi, If it doesnt show even after changing w/ fresh batteries, the unit is defective. It cannot be fixed.
You may want to open and check if any wirings are cut.
Good Luck.

It is tough to get fixed since Sharper Image is out of business due to bankruptcy.

I think sir your problem is on the remote control or the menu from the tv. try by looking thru the menu and find the display settings or you refer its manual for more information. it must be configured by mistake. i dont think that it cause the led display or hardware problem, its just a settings from the tv itself

Even after you reset, and changed the battery, it is most likely a problem that cannot be fixed, unless your willing to open up the clock and replace the LED display, and thats only if the LED Display is replaceable. Or maybe the connections to the LED display are only loose? Either send it back if you have a warranty/receipt, or you have to open it up and check it out for yourself..

Take the batteries out and remove any power source for about ten minutes and see if that works
