Question about Sony Televison & Video

1 Answer

My home was treated for mold by an EPA company. They didn't tell me to cover my TV which was fairly new, and now I have stains on the screen which I cannot remove. I called Sony and they sent out an investigator and he said that the stains were almost green. I've tried many solutions to no avail. The TV is a Sony Vega 34 inch HD tube TV, not LCD or Plasma. Please help!!!!

I would contact the company that treated your home.  If you can't get anywhere with them, file a complaint with the better business bureau

HOW TO STAIN TREATED LUMBER ?

To stain decks or other projects made of treated lumber, it has to be at least one year old, to allow the moisture from the treatment process to dry out. It the deck is already older than one year, then wash it with a deck cleaner, rinsing well. Give it a couple days to dry out entirely, then you are free to stain according to your stain manufactures instructions.

Is ge doing anything about mold issue in their refrigerator model zir36nmarh

It is very easy to prevent and/or remove mold once formed.
Mold usually forms around the freezer doors an the door gasket. This usually happens in a humid climet when the "Energy Savings" mode is on. That causes sweating on the door frame followed by mold and black residu.
PREVENT MOLD BY TURNING THE ENERGY SAVINGS OPTION OFF!
You can usually turn it on during the winter, when home heating is running and humidity is low.
Remove mold from door gasket by applying any spray cleaner that contain Bleach or just use towel with bleach. For very dark stains, allow the bleach to stay for about one hour, it will remove most stains
After cleanup, using you finger, redress the door gaskets with a very light coat of common Petrroium Vaseline. This will leave the door gasket soft and protected for a long time.

Not a car seat question, but...
Black mold is VERY dangerous. Trash the high chair. Buy your friend a new one.

What is better to buy; a wood or plastic picnic table?

It really dependswho you ask, but I think plastic is longer lasting that wood when it comes to picnictables. Many plastic tables are treated with molded in color and wont splinter, stain or rot like wood can.

How do I go about charging a condensor unit after repairing a leak

Hey now don't treat me like the enemy or anything, but by law (section 608 EPA) you have to get someone EPA certified to do this. If you're unit uses R22 refrigerant it may be a bit costly, like the auto refrigerant being discontinued a decade ago, now the home stuff is no longer produced causing the price to skyrocket. Please don't shoot me the messenger, but you have to call somebody reputable. Hope all goes well

Looks like a water stain on screen

IT SHOULD NOT NEED A "REPAIR" PER SAY. HOWEVER, I OWN AN LCD TV, BUT NOT A PROTRON. YOU'RE GONNA FIND THIS PROBLEM WITH ALL LCD TV'S. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS SIMPLY DIRTY. THIS IS THE WAY YOU CLEAN YOUR SCREEN. IT IS VERY EASY AND FAST, AND YOU SHOULD HAVE THE SOLUTION IN YOUR KITCHEN AND BATHROOM. TAKE THE CLEANEST, MOST SOFT CLOTH YOU HAVE IN YOUR HOUSE. DAMPEN,NOT SOAK IT, WITH WATER, AND LIGHTLY RUB A SMALL SECTION OF THIS STAIN, AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK, ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF SIMPLE RUBBING ALCOHOL, AND TRY ANOTHER SMALL SPOT OF THE STAIN. IT SHOULD COME OFF. SOME OF MY "HI-TECH" FRIENDS USE STRAIGHT RUBBING ALCOHOL, AS IT HAS A TENDENCY TO EVAPORATE A LOT FASTER THAN WATER AND LESS LIKELY TO LEAVE ANY "WATER STAINS". HOWEVER, IF YOU CANNOT SEE THROUGH THIS STAIN, THEN YOU'RE BETTER OFF BUYING A NEW TV. SOUNDS LIKE SOME KIND OF LEAK OR MAYBE THE TV IS JUST NEVER SHUT OFF, THEREFORE BURNING IMAGES INTO THE SCREEN. FORTUNATELY, IF IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, YOU MAY GET HELP THERE. MY FIANCE TOUCHED THE LCD SCREEN WITH HIS FINGERS, AND IF YOUR FINGERS ARE DIRTY, THEY WILL LEAVE OIL STAINS. PEOPLE DO SOMETHING TO A PRIZE POSSESSION IN YOUR HOUSE, DONT TELL YOU THEN ACT LIKE THEY DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. ITS HILARIOUS. HOPEFULLY THE ISSUE YOU HAVE CAN BE FIXED BY YOU!
