Display problem Hi I bought this laptop Compaq Presario CQ50-115NR, and everything went well, until I was watching some videos at youtube, and suddenly the screen went to a grey color screen, I couldn't do anything, no alt+f4, no ctrl+alt+delete, nothing I had to turn off the computer and start windows normally(that happened about 3 weeks ago), and today it went to a dark green-blue color and I had to do the same thing. First try connecting an external display to your computer using a cable and the VGA port and an appropriate cable (<$5)
If the display shows no problems it's the screen (most likely).

Did you properly checked your internet connection and speed? if speed is ok then try to upgrade flash player. Hope this will help u.

It is because of slow internet connection . This can be prevented by increasing the speed of internet connection

i also have a compaq presario f572us that's been having similar problems. when i went onto the hp website i saw that apparently they've been having similar problems with this type of computer as they offer free repairs for 2 years after you bought it. you should probably check if this works for you too

Yeah I dont think they are allowed to make xp drivers even if they wanted to. Try getting all the information about your computer as you can, video card, audio card, nic, ect. Then download separate drivers for everything. If things dont work out just go back to vista or linux, (fedora, ubuntu, kubuntu, red hat, ect.) linux is better anyways and its just fun to use.
