If your bearing, glides, and idler are all fine then your motor is gone.
You could apply some zoomoil to that motor but you will have to drill some access holes as the manufacturer does not provide any. For $150 bucks a pop I would try a $2 bottle of High temp zoomoil from ace hardware first.Use a 1/6th inch drill bit and do not hit the shaft. The bearing wells are on either side of the motor and you will have to take the drum out to get to the motor. To access the dryer innards open the door and remove the screws holding down the top. Get the top out yer way and remove the front. Get the drum out and clean out the dryer. Send me any folding money you find. LOL You may find enough change in the dryer to buy some oil. Zoomoil is use for HVAC. It is heat resistant and does not disapate. After filling each bearing work the motor by hand till it loosens up. Oil the idler check the slides and the rear bearing for wear.Gas dyer won't start, have to kick start it. - 743d531.jpg

The probable cause is the rollers on the drum are tight or worn out. Pull up or push down on the tub and see idf the resistance is less on one side that the other. Try to go only in the direction of turn thought NOT backwards because that might undo your drum belt. The only way you might be able to tell isundo your belt and try rolling the tub then by hand if your motor will start now it has to be the tub area.

Probably your belt is broken or off . Remove the back and look for it around the drum. If it is older than 8-10 years old, it is probably broken.

Ld lg3788w gas dryer drum won't turn

not a good model number, most likely you have a broken belt as long as it starts, heats but the drum doesn't spin,if you get a buzzing sound and it doesn't start you could have something stuck in the blower wheel, the motor is jammed or the motor is bad,you can open the door, push the door switch in,spin the drum with your other hand and have someone push the start button,if it starts you have a bad motor.

Kenmore 970 C81062 10 Electric Dyer WILL NOT

It sounds like the drum may be stuck. Turn the dryer on with the door open, just keep the button pushed. Then try to turn the drum by hand, and see if it will start to turn.
