Question about Nintendo DSi White Console

2 Answers

Music playback I have a dsi and I can not seem to get it to play music from a sd card. I converted some MP3 to AAC and the DSi does not seem to reconize them. I was wondering if I had to make a folder for the music or just put them in the root of the card or maybe I had a problem with the conversion to AAC

Make sure that the music files are mp4 m4a or .3gp
other files will not work on the dsi.

Try using itunes to make the aac conversion. as for folders, try making a simple folder called MUSIC and putting them there. this worked for me. if your problem persists contact me directly at gungraveislife@gmail.com

Hello and good day, I just bought a Nextech SD card for my son's DSI. when we inserted it and tried to open the music files through it. there a message of " Cannot find any music (compatible AAC files on...

As the warning said the music files aren't in the correct format, the only one supported by your device - aac. Most likely the files are in mp3 format.
If you want to use them on this device you must convert them. Use this program for that:

How load music in the sd card to my nintendo dsi

If you want to play music on your dsi you have to convert it to aac files, most music is mp3 files but your dsi wont play mp3 files on your dsi unless to put them on your sd ames sd card, then if you put them in your system folder they open it they will play, but if you want to put them on a sd card they into the side sd slot you have to convert them, the way to do that is to download itunes, unless you allready have it, they play the track or tracks you want on itunes, stop the track and right click the track and click create aac version, wait for it to convert, you will hear a ring when it is done, then right click the converted file and click show in windows explorer, then put your sd card into your pc and drop and drag the songs you have in the windows file, you can put them in a music folder if you like, then when you have all the music you want on the card, put in into the side slot on your dsi then turn it on and open the sd card folder and you will see a music file, then open it a play your music, hope this helps you, cheers Roger M.

Need to be able to down load music to sd card on dsi

There are two ways to play music on your ds and dsi, when using a r4 or r4i, for the ds just put the music you want on your games card and transfer them to your system files folder, then when you turn your ds on go into your system files, and play the music that way, you dont have to convert them, they will play in mp3 form, in the dsi you can do it that way, but if you dont want to put them on your games card you have to convert them to aac files, all you have to do is download itunes, if you dont have it allready, then put your music into a playlist on itunes, then right click and click on where it says create aac version, every track it coonverts you will see it converting above, and your will hear a bell when it is done, when you have converted all the tracks you want, right click on the track and click where it says show in windows explorer, when all your songs are in the folder, drop and drag them onto your sd card, you can put them into a music file on your card, thats what i did, just to make it easy for my grandson. then pop it into your dsi slot on the side, then open it and play your music, hope this helps you, Roger.

I dont know how to put music in my r4i

Your friend is right in part, if you want to put music on your r4i you can, if you drop and drap the music you want onto your sdcard like you would games, you can keep them in mp3 form, i did this for my grandaughter, when i put them on the card i dropped them onto the moonshl folder, then when you turn the dsi on you go to the moonshl folder and you can find the music their and play it, when your friend said you have to convert to aac files thats if you put them on a sdcard on the side of the dsi insert them, if you do that you have to convert to aac, the dsi will not play mp3 files, but it will if you put them on the games card and drop them onto the moonshl folder, if you want to convert your files for the sdcard on the side of the dsi, what you have to do is download itunes if you have not allready, put the music you want to play on your nsi into a playlist on itunes, click on the song then click on where it says create aac version, then when you do that you will see itunes converting it, when you have done that with all the songs you want, right click on each track that itunes has converted and click on where it says show in windows explorer, then when you have all the songs in windows explorer folder drop and drag them all to your sdcard, then put the card into the side slot of your dsi, turn on your dsi, and find the sd menu and their you will find your music, hope this helps you.

How do i put music of my pc onto sd card for dsi

You have to download itunes if you have not allready go it, you have to put the music you want on your dsi into a playlist on itunes, if you play it on itunes just stop the tracks and right click and pick create aac version, they have to be aac files to play on your dsi, once you have converted the music you want, right click on the tracks you want and pick show in windows explorer, then when you have them in that file, drop and drag the tracks to your sdcard, after you put the card into the pc, you can not put them on your games card because you have to put the card in the side of your dsi to be able to play them, once you have done that, turn on your dsi and open the file for the music and play the songs, if you try and put mp3 files onto the card the dsi will not play them, only if you put them on you games card, and into a system files, then the dsi will play them.

I dont know how to put music in the sd card

To add music to your DSi, first you need a spare sd card, and a pc or laptop that can sync with the card. Remember that the DSi only plays AAC type songs, so convert the songs you want to copy-paste on the card. This can be done easily on Itunes on which I use by right-clicking on the song and it will show you there ' convernt to AAC'. After saving the songs , take out the card from the pc or laptop and you can now insert the card in your DSi and play music and enjoy.

How to download songs from computer?

The new Nintendo DSi console can now play music, however it can only play AAC file type music, so if you have MP3 type, converting it is as easy as pie in iTunes. Also, once you have converted the songs, you need an SD card to store the songs in, and once done, you can put it in the DSi SD card slot and then play your music.
Hope this helps.
