Try taking it off again and putting it in hot water for about 5 minutes. This will soften it up. Now reinstall it and close the door. This will help form it to it's new home. New gaskets are always a problem for a few days.
Try this and hope it works out for you.

Icicles in the freezer and frost inside door of freezer. Normal for brand new refrigerator?

It sounds like the seal isn't closing completely. If there is any gap around the seal air is probably entering and the moisture is freezing. This sometimes happens when the doors are reversed. Try heating the gasket with a hair dryer if there are gaps in the gasket.

ICE DOOR SEAL IS LOOSE AND NOT SEALING CAUSING FROST BUILDUP

Hello,

This is the step you will use to repair your ice door seal that is loose.

There are screws under the fold of the freezer door gasket that holds the brace for the gasket in place. Lift the rubber gasket to expose the screw head, one section at a time. Just loosen the screw, and do not take it completely out.

As you loosen the screws, one section at a time, carefully remove the old gasket. At the same time, fit the new gasket into the groove. Make sure your new gasket is lined up properly.

Continue around the freezer door, unloosening the screw, taking out the old gasket and fitting the new one in.

Tighten the screws into place. This may have to be done once the entire gasket is fitted into place.

Check the seal by closing the door. You should have a nice, tight seal.

Good luck.

    Test the gasket by closing the door on a dollar bill. If you can pull the dollar out easily then the gasket is not sealing. If the gasket is OK then the auto defrost function may be not operating. High humidity and opening the door frequently can also cause some frost build-up.

    My frigidaire refrigerator is sweating on the inside. what should i do? its a one door model with ice maker and freezer on top. i don't remember the model. 5 years old.

    High humidly could cause condensation or the magnetic seal could be bad.
    A couple of things to try;
    The easiest thing to do first is to clean around the rubber seal very good with mild soap and water and the metal which the magnetic rubber seal contacts to seal the door. If you find a crack or a deformation of the seal it will let condensation it the refrigerator.
    Does the freezer auto defrost or is a lot of ice bult up around the freezer walls? If so manually defrosted the freezer.
    Dripping from the Ice maker water supply?
