AS/400 not recognizing LTO drive

Hi,
I've got a problem with my AS7400 (model 720) not recognizing an IBM LTO
tape unit (3580-H11). The tape unit is Ok, the QAUTOCFG is 1 but the
hardware resource is not created (i've already executed an ipl).
I've got V5R10 instaled.
Any ideas?

check SCSI id must be 0 for Iseries also terminator is correct ie HVD terminator

Hi
Sometimes those LTo's act a little strange.
Try this..maybe it helps:
1. Disconnect the cable from the magstorage ctl (#2729)
2. IPL the card (I/O debug under sst)
3. Clear any failed/mising hardware
4. connect the cable..pwr on the LTO and load a tape
5. If de resource isn't created...do an another IPL from the card (I/O debug
under sst)
And also take a good look at the pins of your cable...all the swapping might
maybe damaged one of the pins

No problem in SCSI id and it is terminated. The tape unit has been
working Ok but after an unexpected shutdown from de AS/400 (long time
power failure during the night exceding UPS capacity) the problem started.
