To change the printer settings, it is easier to use the software that was installed when you first set up the printer. The software is rather easy to navigate so there shouldn't be any problems. I have one of these particular printers that I purchased recently and am still becoming familiar with all of the settings and functions but I have still found that I can accomplish all that I need to by using the installed software. Hope that this helps.
Try to install the latest version of Printer software from www.kodak.com/go/downloads
on your computer. then open the kodak home center software and click on scan pictures.
Adjust the settings and you are ready to go.

Just try to copy a document from the printer , by placing it on the scanner glass of the printer and by pressing Copy on the printer.if it copies,that means the printer is working absolutely fine.As far as the printing from computer is concerned,i would recommend you to

Go to start,go to run and type in "services.msc", without the quotes in the open box and press ok.
restart the following services by clicking on stop the service and start the service.
1. background intelligent transfer.
4. remote procedure call locator.
5. printer spooler.
make surethat they are set to automatic not manual.
install the latest version of Kodak software from www.kodak.com/go/downloads
