I set up BroadVoice internet phone

I set up BroadVoice internet phone, show:start your web browser and HT502 http://172.16.0.1 but it is FixYa i have a tone but not have a completly calls.

Make sure your speeds are compatibal with what the service requires. If so, call the company and see if they need to do anything themselves. Also make sure all your phone connections are good in the house. Are you plugging this straight into the phone or does this go into the phone outlet and power up the rest of your homes. If so, might need to have someone check out the wiring in the house.

HOW TO SET UP SPEED TOUCH 5X6V6 BROADBAND MODEM


Once you have an Internet Service Provider ,ISP,
you just need a modem and phone line access,
plug modem into phone socket and then into the computer,

My example modem is.........

Speed Touch 5x6v6 - Broadband Modem
Operating System is Windows 7

log on to the modem using Internet Explorer Bar
Type 192.168.254
this will open the modems log on menu
then enter user name and password
its factory default is
user ADMIN
password ADMIN or 1234

once open there are some menu options on the main page

Speed Touch,
Broadband Connection,
Toolbox,
Home Network,

to add new user and password,
go to toolbox,
user management,
add new user
add password,(write down username and password)
change default user
save and test
should have a green tick next to new default user now

selecting broadband ... shows both your,
dsl connection and internet connection status,
with a green tick next to each heading.

Home network will show you...
all devices connected to this modems network ie
the other computers and printers etc,
connected on your network.
In network ,select your computer in the menu tree,
select configure
this give you a menu to add info about your computer
ie name info, comupters ip address,
access to the local intranet or the internet

Now lets connect to the internet

select Broadband from front page
menu will open and display
DSL & Internet Connections
here we test internet functionality.on? or off?

Now we go to your computer,
go to start
my network connections
run wizard in my network places
select new connection
follow prompts to the end.

open internet explorer
if web page opens then we are done and finished,
or
open tools and internet options,
connections and then lan settings
select automatically detect
Apply then close
Test webpage again,
when ok shut down and restart,
to save the computers new settings ,
Test again with internet explorrer.

if no connections run wizard again,

I HAVE A DELL DESTOP COMPUTER THAT SENDS CONSTNT ERROR MESSAGES


Hi Laurie,
Either the modem or the Windows Explorer you are using may not be up to the speeds you need in browsing.Is the modem running on 3G speeds[above 3.0MB per sec]?
Change the browser and try another one.
My recommendations:
Both of which are a free download for installation.During setup installations,set the browser[Mozilla/Google]as your default browser.

Slow Browsing


First of all, test what your actual speed is - for instance at http://www.4nettech.com/corp/internet-speed-test.html . If that shows that your Internet connection is fast, try cleaning up your browser, use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, run a registry cleaner. Also temporarily turn off your antivirus program and visit one or two well-known safe sites (don't browse the Web in general without antivirus!) and see if the antivirus might be the culprit.

CANNOT GET INTERNET TO WORK... SHOWS ALL


If the internet light is red, it means that the modem is not getting the connection from your ISP.

To verify the settings, just access the setup page using a web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.

By default the username is admin and the password is password.

If this doesn't work, try admin for the username and password. If still not working, you will need to reset the modem.

Once on the setup page, go to Configuration.

If you have a PPPOE connection, make sure that the username and password provided by your ISP is correct on the firewall.

If you have DHCP, the modem should be in bridge mode.

No CD included for set up


You should be able to download any necessary software (from a friend's internet connection) and complete your install. Most modems do not need a software disc, just need to be setup and most can be setup using your own web browser. How do I set up a secured internet connection?


You have to go to the router configuration. To reach it, you go with Internet Explorer (or Firefox, or else). In the documentation of your router, you will find an IP address by default for your router (or go to the RCA website and find the doc, by the model number). That IP address is the way to enter to the config. Enter the address in the address bar, for example http://192.168.0.0 in the web-browser. In the documentation, you will also find a login name and password for your router (that you will change afterwards). So, once in the configuration, you will find a section for the security, to select the security mode and choose a password.

Have you tried configuring the ADSL modem router for the internet connection?
Its possible that since you have changed the ADSL modem router, you may have to configure the ADSL modem router for it to work fine. The configuration depends on what Internet provider you have but you may try these steps for now:

1. Make sure the connections are correct. Connect the computer to the LAN port and the ADSL line to the port assigned for that behind the device.
2. Launch an Internet browser and access http://10.0.0.2 and press enter. If a dialog box appears, set the user name as admin and password as zoomadsl and press enter.
3. On the basic setup page of the ADSL router, set the appropriate encapsulation and other settings based on the settings of your provider.
