Check the fuel. Pour some fuel into a clear jar and let it set. See if it seperates due to water in the fuel. Very common problem.

Have you looked on the Carb itself? If you look closely you should see a name and some type of marking of the model number.
Also look up the model number of your blower at www.managemyhome.com and you should be able to the owners manual from there (which should have it).

In my shop, I use Autolite brand plugs. Your engine would have come originally with a #255 or equivilent. Most shops will upgrade that plug to a #458. It is slightly hotter and gives a more efficient burn. You can also use a Champion J19LM or an NGK B4LM.
