Question about PC Laptops

Can't play youtube videos

I've tried to download the flash player about 12 times--I get two icons on the desktop but nothing more. When I click on the icons, a bunch of gibberish appears in notepad. It isn't just youtube---any videos that have the ''Q'' willl not play on my machine, never have. The ''Q'' has a question mark inside it. As I say, I've tried to download the flash player but with no luck. The videos marked wmv play fine. I am using the latest version of the wmv player. The computer is an IBM Thinkpad A20.

Why dont you try deleting Internt Explorer, and when you delete Internet explorer, delete the flash players also. Restart the machine and reinstall IE.

after IE is installed, reinstall the flash players from adobe.

If it STILL dont work, then just reinstall the OS?

Hope that helped

I am trying to download Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.5 without Mcafee Security Scan Plus. I have installed in at least twice it's showing that it has been installed sucessfully. But i still cant watch...

The easier way is , delete The adobe flash player that you had installed . Go to you tube site and try to play a video there . You tube will demand you to install the missing plug-ins . Click on the icon that says you have to install missing plug-ins. You will be directed at adobe download and install, click on download. If it promps you to save File, save it. Then install that file, if you are using firefox and your installation stops , just exit firefox, not the installation process, installation will automatically continue and will be finished. Then open you tube again and try to play videos. Hope this would help a little friend. Have a nice surfing !

I had a plroblem with different site nd been told to delete my cashe and cookies, and I did it. and after that I cannot now play any you tube video! please help me :(

Videos on YouTube are streamed through Adobe Flash player. If you're having trouble playing videos on YouTube, we suggest you install the latest version of the Flash player.

Please follow these steps to upgrade to the most recent version of Adobe's Flash Player:
  1. Before installing Adobe Flash, you will need to first uninstall any older versions you currently have running on your computer. To do so, download Adobe's official uninstaller here. Make sure to select your correct operating system, and then "Uninstall Flash."
  2. Now that you've uninstalled the older version of Flash, follow Adobe's instructions for reinstalling the most recent version. The download option is on the right-hand side of the page.
  3. Once you've downloaded the file, please exit your browser first, and then install the upgraded version of Flash to you're computer.
  4. Finally, open your browser again and go to YouTube. You should now be able so successfully watch videos!

If the instructions above don't resolve the issue, please also try the following:
  1. Temporarily disable popup blocking software installed on your computer to test.
  2. Allow YouTube.com as a trusted site in your Firewall software.
  3. Ensure other applications like Quicktime, iTunes, Real Player, or Windows Media Player aren't set as the default streaming application, as this might affect the video player.
  4. Make sure your computer is set up properly for Flash by checking out Adobe's Advanced Troubleshooter here.

Hi arjun_gautam.

In order to play the Youtube Videos, you need to install the Adobe Flash player.

You may download the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player from the below link:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Please open the above link and click on "Download".

Please install the Flash player, once the download is complete.

Once the Adobe Flash player is installed, you may watch the Youtube Videos without any issues.

Hope this helps.

Please feel free to ask further questions.

I have hp windo7,& i want 2 known how 2download songs 4rm youtube,i have already installed idm,but it is not working

The below tutorial is a guide for doing that. You can follow the steps and get the question solved -
How to Convert YouTube to MP3?
YouTube to MP3 converter is not a must to complete Youtube to MP3 conversion. Instead, all you need is Leawo Free YouTube Downloader and its sister program called Leawo Free FLV Converter. So converting YouTube video to MP3 generally includes downloading Youtube video and converting the downloaded YouTube video to MP3, since YouTube video is FLV video on internet.
The former is a free YouTube downloader, which can download YouTube videos and other online FLV vidoes for free while the latter functions as an FLV converter which can convert YouTube to MP3 and many other popular video/audio formats. So use these two free programs, we can freely convert YouTube video to MP3 easily.
The following tutorial demonstrates exactly how to download YouTube video from YouTube and convert the downloaded YouTube video to MP3 within just a few clicks.
Step 1: Launch Leawo Free YouTube Downloader and type YouTube URL in the address bar.

My online videos skip

Try downloading the videos. Streaming videos (like youtube, metacafe, megavideos, etc. ) can be downloaded. Use Ant Video Downloader in getting the videos off your browser. A free but great tool that works with any streaming sites there is on the web. You don't need to download flv player or codecs to play the video. Ant has its own Player, so as soon as it finished downloading the vids click the Player Button to play them and it will surely not skip.

I have tried to view some videos on youtube and my computer won't let me. If I download the javascript from java.com; will that fix the problem?

Websites use different media player formats. If youtube is asking you to install the plugin do so. Java.com is a trusted site and will not hurt your pc.

Try to install flash player in your laptop.Because videos on youtube are in .FLV format so it requires flash codec to run videos.
