SOURCE: what type of motor oil used in 1994 harley davidson 883

harley recomends that you use their oil but i would be carefull because it is a cynthetic now if you were using regular oil what that will do is clean all the old build up out of the motor this can be bad because after time there are pin hole leaks that occure but the build up stops it from leaking but if you use cynthetic you cant go back to regular oil it will gum up on you and ruen your motor so you got to find out what has been put in it. but use a 10-30

SOURCE: How to install a sissy bar

There are different mounts for a sissy bar. If it is a permanent mount sissy bar it mounts on the side fender braces. If you bought it new, the replacement bolts and shims( if required) should hve came with it

How do remove the seat? I've removed the bolt attached to the rear fender. The book says to pull the seat back to release the hook from the frame? The seat doesn't want to pull back toward the rear.

If you have a sissy bar on the bike, you'll have to lift the rear of the seat a bit to get the clearance necessary for the seat to slide to the rear. If that doesn't work, take the sissy bar off by removing the two small bolts on either side of the sissy bar side plates. With the sissy bar off, the seat should come off easily.

Good Luck

How to change low sissy bar on a 2000 FLSTC

Look on either side of the sissy bar down near the base. There are usually two bolts on each side. Remove these bolts and the sissy bar pulls out of the side plates which stay on the bike.

Sissy Bar Install on a 2008 Screaming Eagle Dyna

Been a while since I've done one of these, but I believe you have to take the shocks loose at the fender struts and drop them down and out of the way. The signals should go back on in the same place, no relocation. On a couple of these I've had to get longer bolts for the signals, but it may not be required, so keep this in mind. And, yes, I know, it would be nice if HD would include the bolts or at least tell you about the possibility of needing longer bolts, I've said this to myself many times in the past.
