Wii controlers won't respond

If the Wii will turn on and display the menu, then I would say try replacing the Wii controller batteries first. If after you replace the batteries and it is still not working, the next best thing to do is make sure the sensor bar is correctly plugged into the console. If it is correctly plugged in, then it may need to be replaced.

Wii controller not doing anything

I had this same problem. I read somewhere to unplug the Wii for a minute so that when you turn it back on it will have to reload the bluetooth data from the firmware. Worked immediately for me. Hope this helps.
