SOURCE: False Paper Jam Error

Make sure the paper tray guides are set against the paper more likely to be the back guide not pushing the paper to the front of the tray. If you have the guides set correctly then place one sheet of paper in the tray and blot some methylated spirits on the leading edge along the page width and close the tray and try printing something.

You will have a jam repeat process 3 or 4 times then open tray and remove paper. Where you soaked the spirits into the paper there should be a grubby mark where the feed roller has rubbed and cleaned. Wipe the tray dry and put fresh paper in then hopefully you will now be able to print. If you cannot then the likely thing is that the paper feed pickup spindle is broken and will need replacing.

Hope this helps you and please rate me
Thanks J

SOURCE: Paper jam error after last page prints

Hi Natoli3,
This could be a mis-match of paper sizes. Example, computer could be sending an A4 page to the printer. The paper size in the could be set to Letter. Ensure the 4 paper sizes match, in the computer - the document and printer driver; in the printer (change in control panel) and paper tray (adjust the physical side and length).

SOURCE: HP Officejet Pro L7780 constantly gives false"paper jam" error

Step 1:
======
The rollers should be cleaned if the paper fails to feed smoothly into the unit. All document and media rollers should be cleaned using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water.

1. The unit must be powered down and the power cord unplugged before cleaning the rollers. This will allow the rollers to be turned by hand in most cases. The paper should also be removed before cleaning the rollers.
2. Remove the rear access door to access the rollers. Clean any dust and debris from the rollers.
3. Open the unit and check the four small metal paper rollers (not the rubber rollers) in the interior of the unit. They should be clean and move freely. If these are not bright and shinny or have buildup on them, they should be cleaned. Also clean any dust and debris off of the rubber rollers.
4. Close the unit and reattach the rear access door.
5. Plug the power cord back in and power the unit up. It should reinitialize for about 20 seconds.

6. Print another extended self-test page.

Step 2:
======

==== Partial Reset ====
Press and hold # and 3 button on the unit while plugging in the power cord.
Note: For models that are not fax capable, press Plus (+) instead of #.

==== Semi Full Reset ====
Press and hold # and 6 button on the unit while plugging in the power cord.
NOTE: For models that are not fax capable, press plus (+) instead of #.

==== NVM RAM Reset ====
Press and hold OK and Cancel button while plugging in the power cord

Epson Stylus Photo R350 giving a paper jam error message

An Epson service man (he was VERY kind to suggest this) told me to use a weak detergent solution on the rollers, NOT alcohol as that will dry out the material the rollers are made of. Although the problem has recurred a couple of times, it's worth repeating when necessary. I actually activate the 'print' command so it tries to feed in paper, while I FIRMLY hold a piece of fine cotton cloth stretched over a thin plastic ruler, which I hold down where the paper feed grabs its paper. The printer has a couple of tries to feed paper, reports an error message (because there was no paper) and I activate it again, thus exposing the WHOLE of the feed wheel to the cleansing cloth! WORTH A TRY!

My mp830 prints and scans fine, but it won't scan dual side. it scans the first side, then starts to pull the paper back the other way, but it only goes a little ways (1-3") then the paper stops, like it...

Close the inner cover, and press the OK
button to clear the error. The paper being
printed at error occurrence will be ejected
without printing the remaining data for the
ejected paper, then printing will resume from
the next page.

Changed cartridge--now paper gets stops by cartridge carrier. turned on and off, reinstalled cartridge, cleaned roller.

Press the OK button.
- If paper is being fed at error occurrence, the
error is indicated after the paper is ejected.
- If the error occurs, the print head alignment
values are not changed.
- After exit from the error by the OK button,
the automatic print head alignment will not
be re-done.
The error will occur when the print head
alignment pattern is not printed due to no ink
or non-ejection of ink.

Error code 6000 on canon pixma mp210 stops me from printing

Canon Printer Error Code 6000 is one of the typical errors that occur very frequently. It happens while users are attempting to print all of the printer's documents. The problem of Paper Jam is the main cause of this failure. There are several explanations why Canon Printer Error 6000 will happen when you work with a Canon printer. One of the factors is that one of the most simple common explanations is where the paper feed tray is blocked by certain dust particles and bits of paper. Another reason for this is that the paper feed tray is not adequately connected to the printer. If there is a tonne of a print order.

Reasons that cause Canon Printer Error Code 6000:

1. The feed tray of the printer is improperly fitted.

Forms jam on IBM 4232

there are 2 paper sensors in the 4232 printer. the first is the most obvious and is a large black sensor found at the front of the printer and the paper is fed through it. the next sensor is on the printhead carriage assembly. its rather small and can be easy over seen. the sensor is just to the right of the printhead assembly. Clean both sensors and make sure they are properly locked into their sensor homes and this should take care of your problems. If not then it might be time to replace those sensors.
