Sounds like it could be an infection...trojan/malware.  I suggest running a scan...try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button it could also be something to do with the security settings on your computer.

My security camera at work is showing the image upside down on my computer. How can i fix this problem?

It may sound strange, but this camera is developed to hang on the sailing If it then is giving video, up side down, you are in trouble. But if you have it standing on a table, or mounted to a wall, the camera is working fine, in the wrong position. I tried to fine out if you could swap the image, but there is nothing in the manual telling it can.

Sounds like it is working fine, your problems may lie where the camera is trying to save the photos on your computer. can you set the default save location for photos and video?
It may be trying to save them in a location that does not exist

How do I download still photos on a website

Presuming that the photo's are not copyright, then you can

1) right click on the photo and select "save pictureas" and save it to your computer

or

2) highlight the photo (drag your mouse over it until it is highlighted) and then right click and select "save picture as" and save it to your computer.

Hope that helps you.

I have a problem with my webcam sound. I recorded my assignment speech and when i try to listen to the speech, there was no sound coming out from the webcam. i tried everything and nothing worked. Can you...

Hi chinonsobeau,

First off, you to list the model number of your HP web Cam, as well as your OS, and the software you using to record your sound. I will assume that you have Quickplay which HP ususally send out with their web cams.

To access QuickPlay, just press the "blue QuickPlay button" next to the power button. If it doesn't load QuickPlay, just do "Start" - "All Programs" - then you will see QuickPlay listed there. If you still can't find it just do a search, you will find the short-cut. If you still don't find it, then HERE is a place you can download it and use it. It also has instruction on how to use it.

Or sometimes HP sends out Cheese, another camera software. You can download that HERE.

These are the instructions for QuickPlay:

Once launched QuickPlay, click on the 2nd icon from left (between DVD and TV icon), then double-click on "HP Pavilion WebCam" from the left side panel, then you will see the blue LED light lit and you should see yourself on the screen. (Double-click "yourself" to enlarge image)

To take a picture or record video, just press the corresponding buttons on the top. (the red circle icon is for recording video (press "Stop" icon to stop recording), the camera icon is for, well, camera)
Videos and pictures are saved at:
Pictures -- C:\Users\Public\Pictures\My Snapshots
Videos -- C:\Users\Public\Videos\HP Webcam

I'm less familiar with Cheese, so I'll give you their website HERE to go to their support and they can guide you through their program.

Anyway, I hope this helps,

Don't forget to leave a raing,

Thanks

Mark

Cannot load disc Quickcam Pro 9000

When you try to install the camera softwre is the camera connected to the USB port? If so disconnect it and reinstall the camera software program and when the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so. That should work.
Also here is some info you might be able to use.

Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

  1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
  4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud

I was having this same problem..the only way I knew to fix it..shut down your window for the cam when it pops up..you shouldn't be seeing two windows of yourself. I thought was supposed to. So just click View my Webcam or use the Webcam button on YM...then shut the one that comes up when you turn your cam on.
Hope this helps.

- won;t email pictures

it may be that the software isn't correctly intergrated with your email programme, you may have to look in settings to see if there are any options for mail programmes. Failing that uninstal the software and reinstall again and see if that cures it, or the other option is to copy the pic that it takes assumably saving it in my pics after it has done so and pasting it into your email programme. If you only send and receive mail through your providers web site, that is why it wont work as you have to use outlook express outlook or another email programme.
